i cannot love thee Outcast, thou art a bad game.
I am John Romero's bitch.
I bought the Virtual Boy when it came out. **hangs head in shame**
I used to love Doom and was real excited about Quake on the eve of its release. Unfortunately they added this new axis and holding down a button to lookup and down was WAY too clunky to be playable. A neat piece of technology to be sure, but garbage. So I ignored it and missed out on the dawn of the competitive online multiplayer gaming scene.

Years later, while going through a game completionism phase, I discovered that DosQuake didn't enable mouselook by default, had no option for it in the menu, but could be turned on by entering +MLOOK in the console. DOH! Apparently asking about such problems on the internet was not yet obvious to me in '96. ;)

It has since become one of my favorite games.

Menelkir: I am John Romero's bitch.
Then you must kill John Romero

"To win the game you must kill me, John Romero". Doom II - Icons of Sin played backwards

Npl: I havent played half my gog games even one time.
This is me in a nutshell.

I also have various boxed games that I haven't played either.

Just don't seem to have the time, and yet I'll go and play other games for the millionth time! I'm also like this with books though (but not film or TV...)
I pirated tons of games, back in the day. Mostly DOS games and console roms for emulators.
Somebody once beat at a fighting game.
So I killed them and buried them in my garden. The police are still investigating.
I just played Bikini Karate Babes Demo and while it was pretty dumb, didn't think it was anywhere near the worst fighting game ever made.

Al1: Is it also heresy to admit that I enjoyed Wizardry 8 more than Bane of the Cosmic Forge?
If it's heretical, then brand me as Galileo, because I think Wiz 8 is the best game in the franchise.

As for my confession, I once made it through a root canal by considering strategies for the multiplayer game of Conquest of the New World that I was playing against my friends at the time.

Oh, and I prefer turn based strategy to rts because I'm an old coot who can't keep up with that new-fangeld real time stuff. :-)

I started to play Fallout 2 ONLY because it was on a list of games utilizing Dolby Surround sound – and I wanted to test my new Dolby-capable Technics.
I loved Deus Ex: Invisible War. Beat it more than 7 times. Mostly it was the novelty of being able to toss bodies really far with the strength aug.

In my defense I played it way before the first one, and can totally see how it was a step in the wrong direction after experiencing the game.

I also enjoyed my 1st play through of Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness because it was the only one I was capable of actually beating without cheats.
For me, one post wouldn't be enough (And I NEVER use cheat codes).

- When i bought Garry's mod during this year holidays, the first achievement i cared about to achieve was the "You killed 1.000 innocent animals"
- Once played with some friends NFSU2. I always play with the Ford Mustang and they are the sort of people "Upgrade everything and just play". I spent half an hour in the tuning shop fine tuning the engine and suspension for maximum performance.
- In PS:T. I fell in love for Annah... FOR GOD SAKE, SHE HAS A RAT TAIL!
- I finished Mass Effect 1 EIGHTEEN TIMES...
- I stole from every single being in Morrowind to the sell it to the Creeper.
- In Witcher, i left alvin with Triss and not with Shani, and helped the Order... Later i regreted it...
i've broken game discs in fits of anger.

i'm not saying which games.

Mortyr and the 2008 Alone in the Dark (for XBox 360) are two of my favorite games.

I wrote a review here on GOG for Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines... And I've never gotten past level 15.
