jefequeso: I'm playing the game for the first time, and am a little overwhelmed by the size of it, although I have to admit to being a little disappointed so far that a lot of the quests have been "go talk to this person" rather than "go explore this dungeon." I've used up all of Sugar Lips's thief quests, and none of them were really anything particularly stealthy or involved. Are most of the quests like this?

Psyringe: It depends. There are quests that have you talk to another person (and tell him/something etc.), others send you into dungeons to retrieve certain objects, then there are quests that require you to kill something or somebody ... most of the quests are rather simple, but there are also some complex ones, and there are always mods if one wants more intricate questlines. One good thing about Morrowind is that there are so many quests available, and few are mandatory. So while you may not be able to make a decision (and influence the outcome) in a given quest, you almost always have the option of not doing a quest and doing others for the same faction instead.

Often quest givers give you similar types of quests. For example, Edwinna (I think that's her name), a mage in the Ald'Ruhn mages guild, does studies on dwarves, so she will often send you into dwarven ruins to retrieve books or other objects. In the fighters guild, you have one quest-giver in Vivec who gives you assassination-type quests, and another one in Ald'Ruhn who gives more noble quests - it's your choice which ones you do, there's no need to do all of them. And so on.
Ahh, I see
