Straight up remake of Tie Fighter/X-Wing. No new direction crap or reimagining.

tarangwydion: - Another game in the Vampire: The Masquerade, or maybe a game in Werewolf: The Apocalypse universe
To be honest, I'd prefer new World of Darkness (IE: Vampire the Requiem and Werewolf the Forsaken).
On that note, Geist: The Sineaters would actually be a very interesting roleplaying game.
(I'm a tabletop roleplayer)

Titanium: Interesting. Though I was in fact hinting at the facelift that Firaxis was entrusted with, I'll look at that too. Thanks.
Xenonauts is coming along nicely, the game is on Desura for Alphafunding.
Games I´d like to see:
- Another Dark World game. Definitely, story first, graphics/ gimmicks second please...
- RPG´ s / Adventure games that reward you for choosing a nonviolent solution. Skip the cheap messenger/ delivery boy/ girl quests please...
P.S.: I don´ t consider Hidden Object Games to be adventures. I hate HOG´s with a passion.
- Good educational games that don´ t resort to minigames ad nauseam.
- In general: Games that are pleasing to the senses and make you think.
- Original games, like the amazing GBA game ¨ Sound Voyager¨ . Definitely one of the most original games I have encountered in the last few years
- A Good, full 3D detective game in the vein of Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper, CSI (but with full freedom of motion please) or Phoenix Wright.
I would also welcome it if the crime to solve is more varied. Not always murder. Include theft, blackmail, embezzlement, assault and environmental crimes. The entertainment industry focuses too much on murder imho. Cybercrime would also be cool but requires a rather specialistic toolset,
- A good, more realistic hacking game. All of the hacking games I´ ve played rely too much on automagical tools...
Another thing: I like my games to be cross-platform...

This game is played every day for real. I doubt any "game" can ever emulate what's really going on. However, if you do like this stuff I'd suggest you look into the cryptanalysis games people play, you'd probably like it (much of it is analog). Also, you might like lock picking competitions. You can pick up a copy of Steel Bolt Hacking for under 10 bucks and get started (lock picks will run you a few dollars more). There's competitions in every state and you can actually help out your neighbor or distressed person at the supermarket if you the opportunity arises and you feel like it:)

Let me sum up my game within a few words because I'm writing an in detail post of it and it is right now on three hundred words. Yeahhhh....well let me put up a summary.

A turn based tactical, isometric survival horror rpg, that would take place in a setting where 19th century clothing is all the rage, genetic augmentation, and Mad Demons run loose in the lands would be normal.

The game would take place over seven days on an island overrun by abomination with origins in the scientific, demonic, and everything in between.

Advancement would be based on player choices of whether to take genetic augments, pacts, finding left over weaponry over the course of the story. These advancements would affect the storyline and how it went.

The storyline and decisions would be ultimately up to the player, although if the player made certain decisions they would have no say in the decision or storyline twist.

How the decisions are shown will be like Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas via slideshow of what happened because of what you did.

Now this is just a summary barely stratching the surface of the game. I'll post the extended post tomorrow.

Zookie: I have a rather long bus commute to work and I sometimes find myself daydreaming about games I would like to see made.

Recently I have been thinking that I would love to see another Wing Commander Game. I thought that it could set at the start of the Kilrathi war (I am pretty sure they haven’t made a game about that yet). But instead of the player being a pilot, the player would be a Carrier Captain and the game play would be more akin to “Homeworld” then the space sims of the other games. The game would maintain the same visual novel method of telling the story between missions but it would add in an RPG element were you managed how your pilots are trained, promoted and disciplined, what missions they went on and who would lead them, and this would determine how your pilots skills developed and the level of their moral, which would affect how the pilots performed in combat and how closely they followed orders. I thought the game would be better if you did not have direct control over your units (except your carrier) but simply gave them orders to follow, like the "Close Combat" games

What do you think would this make for a fun game? Also are there any games you have dreamed up that you would like to see made?
I know its not exactly what you were after but someone did make a Wing commander mod for Homeworld 2:

I would like to see a superhero game, preferably with Marvel characters with a serious tone... in an RTS format.

Say, have one of the races be SHIELD, where your basic unit is the typical SHIELD agent that you can eventually upgrade from using wimpy guns to more high tech weaponry like energy weapons and such. Add a few vehicles, some special marines as your high tier units and of course, the superheroes you can add to your roster of Avenger or what have you. Make the environment be a very important part of the game, since in the comics, heroes and villains tend to use the environment a lot to their benefit or detriment.
Other races could be your typical villains or croups in the Marvel universe, like X-Men, for the good guys and Dr. Doom or Hydra or A.I.M. as the bad guys, hiring villains to their roster.

The gamestyle lends itself for a cool mission based story oriented game as la Warcraft 3 or to be played a la medieval 2 Total war, with a large map where everything is going on and smaller maps where the conflicts are fought in. Make it a little more realsitic and forget the little flying orbs, stars, points, coins or drops you usally see in console games.
I want a real Might & Magic sequel......
Sweet! sadly I no longer have my copy of homeworld 2 any more. I am waiting for it to show up for digital download (hint hint GOG)

I would like something like 3000AD's Battlecruiser/Universal Combat games, but with the gameplay and mayhap the graphics of ARMA II. The scope and setup of 3000AD's games were really awesome. The actual gameplay makes them pretty hard to get into though. And they are ugly. Im really not concerned so much with graphics, but this thread is all about wishful thinking.

tarangwydion: - A cyborg RPG (Space Siege doesn't count),
You could try Metal Dungeon on the original XBOX. I really wouldn't recommend it, but it is an option. Im just saying is all. Don't look at me like that!

tarangwydion: or a Pirate RPG
avatar
Ric1987: You should take a look at Risen 2.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Sadly my ancient laptop is not strong enough to run Risen, let alone Risen 2. But I'll keep this as future reference.

Sadly I don't own XBOX either, original or otherwise.

I am not really a pnp roleplayer, so either one is fine with me. What I was trying to say is that a game in the similar vein (pun intended :-) ) with Vampire: The Masquerade or with werewolves will be nice.

I would also love to see a new Star Control game. Some thing as big and grand as the second one.

thebum06: I'd like to see another Unreal Tournament game which is more like UT2004 and less like UT3.
+1

I very much doubt it'll ever happen though.

Titanium: A remastered original UFO/X-com. Civilizations would crumble, fire would rain from the sky and the world would stop revolving around it's axis.
I would like to see an Xcom type game in a zombie post apocalyptic setting. Where you have to set up search parties for food, fuel, ammo, and survivors. Then you manage your base with those resourses as you tied to hunt down the cause (and find a cure) for the zombie plague.

No, seriously, I DON'T recommend it. Its not good. don't be sad about it.
