Daikatana.

xxxIndyxxx: Once again i am called upon the defend daikatana ;)
I would like to see it here because i believe it would redeem the game a bit. When it came out everyone expected to have this amazing game, but it failed to deliver big time. It looked old, it played old and the AI of your partners was simply retarded as was the AI of the ennemies. And it was buggie.
When you play it know, you don't have any expectations and this is what you get:. A solid oldschool shooter, with a cool story (didn't happen much at the time it was released, so many cutscenes in a shooter, but they are not so good but not terrible either), an interesting level up system that's actually just a gimmick because it doesn't do all that much. The graphics don't look so horrible know because it's old and we don't compare it with the games that came out at the same time.
The biggest problem would still be your partners but half of the levels they are not an issue and with the other you can just get by the hard parts by letting them wait in the other room and go get them when you cleared the level. Stupid but effective. An other big problem is that the first episode is just not good, with a boring colors, boring robot ennemies and an ugly green glow (cfr the matrix). So you get a terrible first impression. But the greece and medieval levels are great and if i dare say it even has beautiful graphics (i really like those two episodes). The last one is okay.
I just think if people would play it now, knowing the problems and how to work around them and expecting nothing, they might actually see Daikatana in a different light. I have always liked it for some reason and I just wish people would give this game another chance but that will probably never happen...and I will be called upon to defend it for the rest of my live (cue dramatic music) ;)

Nah, it would only get one person to buy it, and that would be john romero. :D
Dragon Age Origins
Hell, I know it's new but I don't wan to see it as a classic at even 10 years from now.

Rumour is that he was going to make GOG his bitch until he was sent packing by an extra spicy kielbasa. :)

+1
You're not alone, mate! :) When I bought Daikatana, I didn't know anything about the infamous backstory behind the game's development. And you know what? I had a great time with it!
Yes, the opening levels in the swamp were... rather disappointing (what was up with those robo frogs?). But after the first few levels, the game became really enjoyable.
The game had a great variety of weapons, beautifully designed levels (the Norway missions are my favourite) and a beautiful soundtrack. I also think that the level-up system was a rather nice touch.
I think the game's main problems were the badly chosen opening levels, the problematic AI(!) and of course the over-the-top marketing campaign.
Modern Warfare 2.
Half life 2.
Rise of the robots Barff. I remember buying this for the amiga and took it back the same day...

drmlessgames: Half life 2.

As if this would happen.
Anyway, I'd say Halo and Gears of War.
Halo series
Wolfenstein 3D (no, no no... it just hasn't aged that well... seriously)
UT3
Gears of War
Uh... I'm at a loss. I can't think of many older games I've played that absolutely should not be on here. Most of the older games have very rich stories, and hence I would value them as GOG's.

Hooligans: Storm Over Europe would probably not be a good thing to have around. There must be a reason why (Swedish) PC Gamer gave it what is overwhelmingly the lowest score they've ever handed out - 9%. The runner-up doesn't come close.
[insert list of popular games I don't like because of their popularity here]
