Yes. Try others, or try none for a bit. I rotate between many games, but there are times I just don't feel like playing anything, so I don't.

And there are just too many crappy games out there. Story takes a back seat to crappy wastes of time, especially in "sandbox" games. I want to play a game, not pick flowers in a game.
You can do two things:
1) Do non-gaming activities, watch a bunch of old or niche movies at home, go out to the bar more often with friends, take up frisbee golf for the summer, etc.

2) Find more "bite-sized" games, ones that don't take a lot of grinding or time to get through, that give you the whole thing wrapped up in one easy to swallow package. Bastion is a great example of this. A lot of XBLA type titles actually are great examples of this, in fact. Tend toward the indie, but not "art", games for awhile, they are shorter and "simpler". There's no "find the flags" type sub-quests that needle you the whole way through should you not do them (like Assassin's Creed or whatever).
Shew, I know the feeling. For the past few months I've been in such a funk that I have really cut down on my gaming. I just haven't been in the mood. I got into Diablo 3 and hit inferno which has sent me back into not wanting to play. Too much money grinds just to obtain gear on the AH... fun.

I have been getting into Minecraft on the 360. Peaceful play... just building things with my kids and going hunting for diamonds to stock up on. Currently waiting on Ep.2 of the Walking dead game, which I recommend picking up ;)

Just have to let the feeling die off and then pick back up and work on that backlog. It sucks, but it happens.
