Just saw this news. It might not mean much to a lot of people, but video game fans of a certain age (probably only in the U.S.) might remember him from his time hosting the game show Starcade, which was syndicated Saturday mornings on cable channel WTBS in the early to mid 80's.
I have very fond memories of getting up early to watch that show. Often you'd see arcade games featured on that show before they were even available in your local arcades. Good times, good times...
Anyone looking for a bit of nostalgia or those just curious, can check out the show at www.starcade.tv. IIRC, Edwards didn't start hosting the show until about 20-30 shows in, but there must have been over a hundred episodes so he was the most prominent host...
