As our catalog gets bigger and better every week, it’s easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. Of course Fallout, Baldur’s Gate, and some other of our most popular titles will always get a lot of attention, but GOG has many more classics to bring you. To help encourage you to explore the dustier reaches of GOG’s catalog, we’re going to be offering a promo on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Think of it as a curated promo on some of GOG’s favorite titles that you may not have played. Whether we’re encouraging you to explore incredible new worlds or inviting you to see how a titanic series got its start, we think every game we’re going to be offering on our GOG Gem Promos will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.

A week later, but the GOG.com Gem Promo returns! With the release of, what seemed to be impossible, the next part of Duke's adventures just around the corner, we want to remind you of another great shooter by the creators of Duke Nukem 3D - Rise of the Triad: Dark War! You are part of H.U.N.T. (High-risk United Nations Taskforce) who are on a track of a madman with power to kill millions of people. To stop him your unit is set to investigate his hideout in a monastery and to put a stop to whatever the madman is doing there. The game is one of the weirdest and most awesome shooters that has ever been created, featuring wacky weapons like "drunk missle" launcher or "The Excalibat" bat, sneaky enemies that can steal your weapon or trap you in a net, and loads of absolutely ludicrous amount of gibs flying around when you unleash the power of your weapons. With a 50% discount it's a crime not to check this masterpiece of destruction!

So don't wait and grab Rise of the Triad: Dark War today for only $2.99! The promo ends tomorrow, June 9 at 5:59 a.m. EDT (9:59 a.m. GMT).
I would pay 100% for Shadow Warrior.

Instantly. ;)
I lost this promo, so I´m happy this is just a FPS the kind of game that just gets old period

But I really like to buy the promos, so why not send us an e-mail about the Gems Promo too GOG? maybe someone would like to get this one....

They stated once that they're not spreading gem promo news in e-mail so that people have an incentive to check the site or at least its social networking profiles every once in a while. I recall it was back in February, during the one day promo test run, but I suspect it still applies.
