spindown: How about "Good Old GOG"?

wizardtypething: GOGOG?
Or maybe that? >>> "GOFKA'O'G" = Good O Formerly Known As 'Old' Games...
Yeah, that rocks!
Thats it. You all can stop to find the new name, we have it.
I should ask our forum god JudasIscariot if I could get some games for this ingenious idea! xD

I vote for GOSNVOIG, as in Good Old and Some Not Very Old Indie Games.

And with me being biased towards single-player gaming:

Good OFFLINE Games ;-)

Better yet, an unpronouncable symbol akin to this and this.

"The game download store formerly known as GOG"

blotunga: Btw GŐG in hungarian means Pride :D
Except it's the bad kind of pride, like the kind that makes you look down on others because they aren't as good as you. But I suppose that would be fitting for a service that sells games to the PC master race ;)

Yes haughtiness is a more accurate word for it. Still it looks cool :)
Good 'O' Games?...that would certainly garner more than the usual amount of interest...even from non gamers.

HereForTheBeer: "Gamer-Owned Games": you OWN it, not rent it like most of the titles offered elsewhere.

That's what DRM-free is all about, regardless of new or old.
This one is pretty good :)
As for rebranding... I mentioned a while back that GOGAMER.com was for sale. Used to be a place to buy retail boxed games online. It was a great and reputable site but went under when the digital age come through. I wouldn't actually rebrand GOG, but co-branding with that name might make some sense. Not that I think they need it, but mostly if someone else buys it, I could see some confusion coming.
MAGOG ? For massively addictive good old games. ^^
