Charon121: I have 32 (including freebies), been here for a year and a half, and I still haven't even installed a quarter of that number. To people with a triple-digit number, I'm curious – how many of them have you actually played and finished? Or is it just a collector's thing?
I think it is both for me. Creating a private library of relatively interesting games from where I can pick up games to play, in my own time and pace. Hence, I also very much prefer they are DRM-free. After all, I wouldn't want to create a private library of books either where I'd have to call the book store every time I intended to pick up and read one book from there.

To answer your other question, many of the games I've bought from GOG I've played before as retail versions, but if we are talking about strictly about the GOG versions, so far I've finished only one (Gorky 17), and I'm almost done with Baldur's Gate + ToSC.

Maybe a dozen or so I've played somewhat, more or less. The rest, I haven't even touched yet (at least the GOG versions). But still, I buy only games that I intend to play, even if I am unsure whether I will ever have time to actually do it for that particular game.

In a way it might make more sense to buy games only when you actually intend to play that game, but that does not necessarily fit the scheduling of discount promos, and then look what happened to e.g. Space Rangers 1-2, if you waited too long. :)
Probably Dotur.

UPDATE: In addition, we mentioned that the user who will make the 6 millionth download will receive the whole GOG.com catalogue for free! It was not a prank and the user who should start "wrestling" with his virtual shelf full of awesome classics is Dotur who downloaded Icewind Dale 2 exactly on 2011-09-29 at 07:39:43 EDT. Congratulations! We'll send you the gift certificate with all the games from the catalogue.

Or perhaps Xyem.

No, he's playing Carmageddon, but not quite sure that it's "completely compatible" with all the test systems yet.

Nope, I've had enough Carmageddon ;) (Still love the music, though).

Yeah, but admit that taunting people in this thread is more fun than playing whatever it is that you're playing:)

silenthunter382: Only have 20 games. (not counting the free games)

I may be the user with the lowest amount of games here. :<
I think I've got a bit less than you. Not counting the free ones, I've got 16

Aye, makes sense. Although, being more stringent with my budget (even considering the low prices here), I try to cultivate the habit of only buying games I really want to play in the very near future. In cases where I bought a game with an intention of playing them in a more distant future, I regretted them. There's always a better game to occupy my limited free time. Or sometimes there's an instabuy, during a promo where the price of a good classis is simply too low to let it pass, but I always get around to playing those.
