For those of you unfamiliar with the greatness that is the criterion collection: http://www.criterion.com/
But yeah, I totally associate these two companies together. Both dedicate themselves to distributing titles that most bigger brands (cough, steam, cough) would barely ever touch, and doing a far better job with them than those mainstream outlets do. Both specialize in older titles, but do also include current independent titles, but more selectively than their mainstream counterparts. Both put loads of extras in almost everything they release. Both are highly revered among lovers of their respective mediums. Both have rabid fan bases that obsesses over what they release (saying that as a fan of both companies who exhibits that same behavior). Both have a good mix of titles everyone should know and own and more hidden gems. The only real difference I can think of is that, while most criterion Blu-rays and DVDs are very expensive (which, given that they are an independent label distributing these Kick-ass packages, is understandable), GOG goes out of its way to make its titles affordable, which is awesome.
So anyway, discuss.
