Smannesman: It always works for me.
Of course I do always get the e-mails a week later after the sale has ended so it doesn't do me much good.. but I get the e-mails.
I just got this weekend deal. Almost as if in apology. :P

Sielle: They specifically said they wouldn't email them out, and only advertise them on Twitter and Facebook.

But they also said they'll be on the exact same day each week this month, so you only have to check once a week.
Ok, sure, but you still have to check facebook, since you can't add pages like thiers to friends. If they respected their customers, they would not be having "hidden" sales.

"Hidden sales"? Only if it's the Purloined Letter of sales.

An advertisement of the sale on the front page of the site is not hidden.

You cant add them to friends but you can "like" them. When you do that their posts appear on your newsfeed.

It's not a hidden sale. It's on the front page of the site, on the forums, on their twitter feed, and their facebook page. If that's not good enough for you, then I guess they don't respect you. The only thing they aren't doing is emailing the sale info out.

I check GOG maybe 1-2 timesa week at most.
new flash promo today - So get ready
I don't really mind and GOG clearly have their own agenda with how they want to run their website, but it does seem like they might be limiting the sales of these 24-hour promos by not sending out emails.

I'm guessing they're more about boosting visitors to the website than they are about making a lot of sales.

It seems to be working, too, because I haven't been visiting the site much lately... but am here now in anticipation of this week's deal. :D

ViolatorX: Usually every wednesday isnt it?

That avatar reminded me of how good the crusader games were

Vagabond: Best games ever!
Before i get flamed, Whats crusader about?
If you can't spare 30 seconds scanning the front page, how do you have time to play games?
