Oh! That's right! It's not the holidays without a chance to visit GOG.com, looking for new and interesting ways that Coala has photo-chopped wintery iconography into them. It's a tradition that we're continuing for our fourth year!

The contest is simple: go through our catalog; we've edited 12 images, scattered across our wide selection of games, to include obvious holiday references, such as santa hats, Christmas trees, or reindeer. For an example, take a look at one of our screenshots from last year:

When you’ve got them all, list them all in an email to "contest@gog.com" with the subject line being "GOG.com 2012 Scavenger Screenshot Hunt". From every valid application we will pick 10 winners who got all the games right and gift them two games from the entire catalog. The contest ends on Tuesday December 25th 2012 11:59 GMT.

Or, I suppose, on the 21st of December when the world erupts in fire and doom. But if we're still around after that, then we'll end the contest officially on the 24th. ;)
Congratulations to winners :)

Ouch! Don't even plan on visiting a casino. :)
Congrats to everyone who won!
I've never won a contest in my life :(. Better luck next time I guess.

But anyway, congrats to the winners :) and happy New Year.
How come there are no more posts here (edit: doh, there are tons, but being on the site instead of forum link doesn't show all the pages, lol!)? I sent my e-mail with the answers on the 18th, I wonder if I was of the first to do so. I didn't bother last year but I figured why not this time. Most of the screenshots are easy to see but a couple are more integrated to the game graphics and funnier than most, heh. Congrats to the winners, too bad it wasn't me. They should at least keep a leaderboard of all the correct answers as consolation prize :P

Added 1 game with 1 unedited wintry shot to the list:

"Cannon Fodder - Shot 3 - Very tiny Snowman"

Big thanks to fellow GOGer Antmusic for spotting it and pointing it out to me! It's definitely one of those obscure, hard-to-notice shots that I hadn't heard anyone mention before.

The great thing about this list is that if the folks at GOG HQ decide to do a 5th hunt with a similarly wintry theme next year, I can simply link the (hopefully complete) list from the get-go and any confused participants can have an easy list of "maybe" shots that are definitely NOT the right answers! That's a pretty significant step-up from this year and years past, I can tell you.

Eli,

I think Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is another entry on your list of obscure wintry shots.
Screenshot 10 shows a bag of christmas tree lights on the right corner.

And congrats on winning the GOG contest.
