We've already decorated our tree. We've started the sale. But seems like we're forgetting something.

Oh! That's right! It's not the holidays without a chance to visit GOG.com, looking for new and interesting ways that Coala has photo-chopped wintery iconography into them. It's a tradition that we're continuing for our fourth year!

The contest is simple: go through our catalog; we've edited 12 images, scattered across our wide selection of games, to include obvious holiday references, such as santa hats, Christmas trees, or reindeer. For an example, take a look at one of our screenshots from last year:

When you’ve got them all, list them all in an email to "contest@gog.com" with the subject line being "GOG.com 2012 Scavenger Screenshot Hunt". From every valid application we will pick 10 winners who got all the games right and gift them two games from the entire catalog. The contest ends on Tuesday December 25th 2012 11:59 GMT.

Or, I suppose, on the 21st of December when the world erupts in fire and doom. But if we're still around after that, then we'll end the contest officially on the 24th. ;)
And done... I hope. My poor eyes (and head)...
I have all 12 at last!

P1na: Yay! Something to do tonight at the airport!

tburger: Tell me you are not flight controller :-D
Nope. But I still intend to work there tonight. Actually, more like intended.

Nirth: You guys must be really bored. I'm quite bored myself but not bored enough. :P
Refer to the above.
Done! ... but my eyes *really* hurt...

Is it just me or has GOG updated some of the game card images - obviosuly other than the scavenger ones!?
I love this contest, and it gets harder every year! <old man voice> I remember when we only had 3 images and 7 games to go through and it still took a day to find them! You young whippersnappers get off my lawn!
Found 11. Reached the end. Nooo! Time to start again.

jacobmarner: Going through all the the games to get a chance to win 2 games. I think not. Too boring. I think I will just buy them instead. :)
I wonder if that's their ultimate strategy; I mean, you'd have to be pretty hardcore to go through their entire catalog to search for these things...

Took me 30 minutes to find all 12 whilst waiting for assassins creed 3 to download on steam
I found two yesterday by accident. But I think I'm gonna give somebody else a chance and not search through entire catalogue for the next 10 screenies. I think :P
"From every valid application we will pick 10 winners"

...so, if I send in an application, and it's valid, you'll pick 10 winners from it?

Does that mean, if I'm the only one in the application, I'll win 10 times? Or should I get nine friends together and send in a joint application?

I'm sure we all know what you mean...but why doesn't anybody ever double-check the logic of their giveaway rules before posting them?

lol I noticed that too, pretty funny.
Got 6 so far, about halfway through the catalogue.

Gonna do the rest some other time, I really need to study for tomorrow's exam. >_>

But then we wouldn't be able to abuse the rules to our benefit, would we?

We're all highly suspicious of logic, here. From all entries that are valid, we will pick 10 winners.

If someone emails us and says, "DRM-free pizza" and nothing else, that is not a valid entry.

Nordhal: Yay ! All the twelve games! It was incredibly long... I almost lost my eyes

AusSkiller: Damn you're good, I'm still stuck at 11 after going through all of them twice :(. Are they all screenshots? I'm beginning to think they may have 1 that isn't because I found 11 on the first run through, and didn't see any others on the 2nd :(. Though there was a Tomb Raider 1+2+3 screen shot that looked like it had a skinned reindeer but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count.
All are screenshots yes ! But some are tricky..
