Jeez...Żywiec? Seriously. What kind of s..t those guys drink on regular basis if they are persuaded by this beer-like beverage. I would understand Ciechan or Lwówek but Żywiec..Sigh....

Sorry, but I do find this offensive.

Back in 1996 a then 23 year old set up her website by herself, after giving up a double major on Business and Japanese with a scholarship in Rutgers University, because she had already started making more money than the degree would give her. in 1999 she started playing Unreal Tournament, and she did host her own server, maps and skins. She kept her site updated as well, and added a second one for UT.
Now tell me, why is her job important? Would you say "Hell yeah!" if she was a business woman, a telemarketer or a TV producer? Why are you acting so negatively because she was a porn actress? Do we really want to judge people by their employment, or do we judge them by their actions?

I haven't had a chance yet to see what reviews PBG has, nor how objective they are, so it could be a cashgrab. But I'll reserve judgement until I've actually read them.

P.S. Asia Carrera also has an IQ of ~156 and is a Mensa member. Does her previous employment really mean that much?

Fair enough, but Fesin's quote made the site come off as a "fad"-esque thing (like companies trying to use memes/ rage comics to sell products). I don't necessarily approve of the porn industry, but my negativity was more directed at how the quote made the site come across. (And technically employment is "actions".) Obviously I deserved to be reeled back in a little, but I hope you can see where I'm coming from to some degree.

Which says more about the gaming community and how people see us than about the site itself.

Does the same thing hold true for Janitors? Street Cleaners? Sewer Maintenance? Does that mean that people who do all the dirty works have to be treated differently? Or is a job just a job?

A job just a job? I don't really believe that, as a job can (not necessarily will, but can) influence people in different ways. (Look at different forms of media.) Now ultimately, this stuff is all within the law and I'm not saying we shouldn't be courteous or respectful to people from janitors to porn stars, but I think its overly-simplistic to suggest that any job is "just" a job.

EDIT: I suspect we're simply going to need to agree to disagree, but if this really bothers you, I apologize for being flippant earlier. I was making assumptions and didn't think anyone would really give a crap what I said.

May I ask for examples? What jobs did you have in mind? Because I assume that by that you mean that any (insert job here) will act in a certain manner, while I say that the job is irrelevant.

No need to apologize. It is mostly curiosity plus a wish to make sure we don't judge based on jobs or appearances. Especially since so many of us are judged because we identify ourselves as "Gamers".
And I do have a soft spot for Asia Carrera, the self proclaimed Nerd of porn.
