I'm usually on around 10:00-12:00PM EST if anyone wants to know.
I'd like to join you guys but steam keeps resetting my progress on the updates. So far i'd say i wasted 30 hours updating this week before it reset today along with some of my already fully updated games.

You try re-installing steam? I think there might be an option to save the files. Or just copy the .GCF files to a temporary place.

Ill try that next. It crashes all the time as well.

Might also check your anti-virus if it's blocking anything, defrag files, and if it comes to it completely reinstall steam and all the games you have on it.
Just going through the normal troubleshooting stuff ;)

I think it may be because my internet connection is so slow. all these problems happen on both of my computers. Everything works fine in offline mode but when im online it stops responding whenever i try to do anything. I uninstalled my antivirus a few days ago and i defrag every week so i doubt they are the problems.

That's probably it.
Try adding these commands to your autoexec file:
cl_updaterate=60
cl_cmdrate=60
This will make it max out on 60fps but put less load on your internet connection, try lowering the numbers in 5-10 increments (if it doesn't work right away). Hope it helps!
if you don't know how to setup a autoexec file:
Make a text file in this directory. (Make sure the extension (.cfg) is a .cfg.)
<Steam Folder>\SteamApps\<account_name>\team fortress 2\tf\cfg\autoexec.cfg
Then paste the "cl_updaterate=60 cl_cmdrate=60" into the file.
You can remove the command if something goes wrong by deleting the autoexec file or deleting the commands within.
This will only help if you can even get into Team Fortress 2, if not then it's probably time for a re-install of steam. (or a faster ISP ;))

As incredibly sad as this, I am probably going to Penal Zone (again) on Steam just so I can get those hats.
edit: oh you can't buy seperate episodes? dammit.

Yeah. Gah, I ordered my episodes from Telltale Games site. I ain't gonna get those items without buying the game again, agh. Oh well (the first episode is AWESOME).

Wishbone: It could be fun to play an occasional match. As for renting servers and making communities, no thanks. I have too much on my plate already.

seconded. I jump in to TF2 about once a week... If I see others on in mass on the GOG group, perhaps ill join :)
Protip: The new items provide no stat bonuses, making them useless unless you really want Sam and Max

Its a nice bonus when you have both games. :)
