The Good Old Gunners ETF2L team has just cleared Group 91 in the ETF2L Highlander Challenge!

We've added two new maps to the server:

1. cp_gullywash_imp3
2. cp_obscure_final

You'll find them in the nominate menu and they might show up in the RTV (random is random I hope). They've also been added to the fast download server so if you don't have them they'll get downloaded on mapchange (I tested this).

The second thing is the Mumble-join plugin which was supposed to allow you to join our Mumble channel while in game (you need to have Mumble already installed): unfortunately this can't be done at this time because the change to a WebKit based browser made it impossible to open mumble:// links which were used to connect to our server and there's no alternate way of doing it at this time.

Still researching the issue and hope to come out with an alternative way (with some creative redirects :D ) but at this time I can't guarantee anything.
The server's been updated to the Halloween update just released.

The new maps (cp_manor_event and cp_mountainlab) have been added to the general rotation, rock the vote and nomination lists.

Did I mention that we have a TF2 server? You can connect to it through tf2.fuzz.me.uk in your Steam or TF2 server browser, or the connect console command.

Server's closed today to the general public because of the ETF2L Highlander Competition. The match will start at 20:00 GMT and the server will return to normal once it is finished (I think around 22-23:00 GMT).

Wish the team luck and we'll post the result as soon as we finish winning :D

We've added 3 new maps on the server (you'll find them in the regular mapcycle as well as the RTV and nominate lists) & tested that they download even if you don't have them. The maps are:

cp_lwobtsud
cp_tiplevarg
pl_retawdab

The names might seem familiar and it's because they're actually dustbowl, gravelpit and badwater mirrored.

Yep, they're the original maps only that right becomes left, left becomes right, giving maps that all TF2 players know like the backs of their hands a fresh take.

You'll find yourself having to rethink every turn in a map that that you haven't found yourself lost in for up to 3 years.. It can really mess with your head while you adjust.

Yes, there's still activity though at more irregular times than usual (ranging from matches starting around 7PM GMT to 9PM GMT or later). Problem is that some of the usual are at the time a little burned out on TF2 after playing it a hell lot, but you generally still find an almost full server when events are scheduled ahead of time (which is the usual method).
