The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!
I think most people know here what publishers are in the pipeline (or at least, which ones they'd like to see), the issue is that this announcement didn't really... announce anything. Of course GoG were in negotiations with other publishers, that went without saying, so making a big production about saying it is kind of odd.

And yeah, if there's a reason the announcement was so vague then I can't blame GoG for it. Last minute stuff happens and I understand that. But a dud's still a dud, even if it's got a reason, and this announcement was a dud.

Yes, please!

snap-d: So can we all put our minds together and work out what Atari/Hasbro games relate to the clues given ?

- What game made you dream of the stars - Homeworld?

- What game did you ride with Outlaws - Desperados?

- What game made you feel like a hero - Quest for Glory?

If only. P:T:2 would be complete nerdgasm overload.
Speaking of Outlaws, I wish they would release the game Outlaws here, but sadly it probably won't happen considering it was for windows 95 which is harder to port to vista/7 than dos games. :(

http://xlengine.com ;) Just wait for it.
Can't wait for Wing Commander.

This could be the biggest release for GOG.

However, I hope they go for quality and maybe a higher price, rather than focus on a cheaper price, but leave things out.

The Wing Commander franchise is huge, there are a ton of spin offs such as Wing Commander Armada, Wing Commander Academy, Privateer 1 and 2 and many more...

There is also Wing Commander - The Kilrathi Saga. I would love to see this version be included.
What game made you go to the underworld?
Ultima Underworld
Ultima Underworld 2
Heck even Ultima VI The False Prophet. Maybe even the other Ultimas.

It ended up being Dragonshard. :( Extreme disappointment. I enjoyed playing Dragonshard in the past, but it's not really a classic (though neither was Witcher), and no one would have guess it was this game based on the clue. Ultima Underworld would have been a far better choice. I hope this trend isn't the actual route gog is heading.
