It's a completely vallid analogy. If A controls B and C, patronizing C in spite of the sins of B is as bad as condoning or participating even. This would be akin to supporting a government airline, despite the fact that the government power company is cutting off power to pregnant mothers in the dead of winter. If your money/support of any kind feeds the parent, then you are DIRECTLY condoning the acts of the children.
