hedwards: Wires. I have a bajillion wires all over my desk and can't be arsed to properly organize them all.

JCD-Bionicman: Also, power isn't really that big of a concern either. The m510 Logitech mouse I have in addition to the keyboard both have excellent battery life, something like a year of straight use before running out.

Although the mouse signal sometimes becomes dodgy. I fixed this by using my old Logitech wired "extender" thing and setting it on top of my computer to make the signal a little closer.

For me it isn't that wires get crowded near the desk or anything, it's really that I hate having to do so much work whenever I want to move my computer to someplace else or anything that involves reorganizing anything on my computer. The less wires, the less hassle.

iippo: there are various pullers for the keycaps. you dont need to open the whole keyboard (its possible, but how easy it is depends on model ofcourse).

JCD-Bionicman: What would be the best possible sound dampeners? Those blue ones? And each kit comes with one of those pullers?

Oh, neatness...that' nothing a few sticky backs with tie straps couldn't handle. The only thing I hate about wired keyboards is the cord permanently attached to the keyboard. It would make it a lot nicer if it was removable, then I would just have to buy a longer device cable and not an unweildly extension cable. A few mice already accomplish that, but I like my mice wireless.

MaximumBunny: The only mechanical I've seen advertised as 'quiet' is the g710, but it's not wireless. Mechanicals are supposed to be noisy by default. Google found this too http://www.matias.ca/quietpro/ but it's not that cheap. You won't find quiet + wireless in your price range, whatever that is.

For your numpad issue, you can get a board without one and buy the numpad separately. Note that your numpad may be loud in that case. You have too many different criteria to be satisfied with anything currently on the market though.

That's the perfect keyboard really. I guess I'll have to put up with it being wired, not that I'll buy it anytime soon.

Is double sound proofing something that'd work? Like, putting two blue grade sound proofing rings on each key? I imagine it'd cause problems but let me know if that's an option.

Lol, what about soundproofing my mouse?

Potzato: I have a corsair K60, my contacts on skype believe I use a typewriter. Reds are not quiet.

iippo: Do you press buttons hard and are your mic options at too sensitive?

I am pretty certain reds are as quiet as you can get with mechanical keyboards. unless you remove every single key and add some o-rings (i belive like this: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/cherry-mx-rubber-o-ring-switch-dampeners-125pcs.html#ad-image-0)

I heard of the O-rings and it might be worth the investment on the occasion, but I don't mind the noise so it is really not a priority.
Otherwise I have to admit that before using a mechanical keyboard, I only used "low profile keyboards" (laptop style) so I had the habit (and my skype contacts too) to not hear the slightest noise from my keyboard until now.
I indeed read that the MX blue make more noise, but my point is that it can't be said that red are silent, not on my keyboard.

Edit : my answer for OP about the opening of keyboards, mechanical ones aren't really "openable", it's just that the keys are "movable" (the cap can be removed from the mechanical part) in order to replace the key-caps, put O-rings, clean the keyboard (which is really useful) .....
