Tag Team Game Rumble!

You could hear the sound of crowds going wild! You could hear hear the epic guitar riffs going off! You could hear the sound of muscular bodies slamming against the arena floor! No, this wasn't the echoes of Wrestlemania XXX. It was our very own special [url=http://www.gog.com/gamerumble]Battle of the Games 2014 promo, with stables of amazing games facing off each other three by three in explosive combat. You, dear GOGgers, were the referees. Now, the time has come for the grand finale! We know who won, and who did not. All of the participating games are now simultaneously on sale for the next 48 hours!
My Battle of the Games page looks funny: in only one round of games, the games are made opaque as indicator I already own them, I don't own any games of the other rounds, but from that round, Gothic & DIvinity, I own ALL of them since yesterday.

It's clear I like RPG's, but not indie games, platformers, tower defense or adventure games.
If somebody wants to pick a platformer game I would say that gas is better than cheese ;) That is Ethan is a much better game than Bree. I've finished the latter yesterday and I'm not impressed. Sure, I had some fun playing it but there is nothing special in this game. Later levels are quite difficult and boss fights (especially the second one) is very difficult but that's that. What's even worse the game forces you to replay some levels because to get some "bad memory pieces" you have to unlock a special power first (and you do it in later levels) and you need those memory pieces to unlock special levels which are arguably among the best levels. Replaying those levels with a new power is no fun at all, just tedious. I hate it when devs try to extend their games by cheap tricks like this...

Ethan is a much smoother game, you can expect more variety, as they try to mix action with puzzles. There are pure action levels (Bree actually contains only those), pure puzzle levels and a lot in the middle ground with various action-puzzle content. And it works quite well I would say, it's not a flawless game, the main character is rather repulsive and the game lacks this special charm (that for example Giana Sisters has) but it's a good game nonetheless.

If you, however, don't like puzzle aspect in platformer games then it's Mr. Bree+ for you. Otherwise choose Ethan. Or both, if you wish, both can be enjoyable.

EDIT: And if you want to read my opinion about Caesar III, Pharaoh and Zeus you can find it HERE

DubConqueror: Ark Fatalis is really infamous for not going on sale. It's Ark Fullpricis, or Fullprice Fatalis.
You´ll have to see it that way: It has already sold quite fine without a sale. So Arcane might think "Why the hell should we put it on sale?"
Anyways, I would pick it up if it would ever go on sale, although I already own it as a CD-CheckFree Version from a german gaming magazine...
Well, ending of the promo and none game purchased this time. The one game in my wishlist is Blackguards, but the discount doesn't includes the DLC...
A bit underwhelming promo (for me), I must say.. I was hoping for some deal with the Warlods Battlecry games...
Chin up. Tomorrow is Easter. I'm sure both Steam and GoG will launch a fresh assault on our wallets then :)

Why not buy it without the dlc? dlc is only new....

Don't know about that, the promotion here lasts other 46 hours.

I was just thinking this, I wonder if this current sale counts as Easter sale or will we be getting *another* sale after this.
I bought Unreal Gold and Unreal Tournament GOTY from this promo so i'm happy that i could scratch 2 more games off my wishlist. :)

There are a few more interesting games in it but i bought too many bundles lately and my backlog is just too big at the moment. I will grab those games in another promo.

That's a classy ending to a nice promo. Thank you GOG and participating publishers!
Done already? In the end I didn't vote once.
It's already Easter in some regions; I would expect GOG to have started any specific sale centered around that already so suspect this Battle deal is the seasonal sale.
Oh good. I can still nab Anomaly. It kind of slipped my mind to pick it up when it was first on sale.
Picked up Pharaoh in order to complete my City Builder game collection, and yesterday I grabbed Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity. I'll decide whether or not to pick up another game here, to beef up my backlog. :P

Overall I thought this sale was a good one, wouldn't mind if GOG did it again sometime.
