Hello guys... I was playing LBA 2 and for some reason the graphics didn't seem alright...
I remember the graphics being crispiers... (could be because it's the doss version and not the cd one).. Anyways...
I tried to meddle with the graphix settings and didn't understand A THING.

So many graphic modes ? What's the difference between OpenGLnb, OpengGL, Direct3D, DDraw, Surface and Overlay ?

And the scaling engine... sooo many incomprehensible choices.. I liked the name "Supereagle" so I chose it... But what does all that mean :( ?

Really ??? No body :( ?
Some times ago, I also searched for this answer and this is comparison between scalers:

but you have to choose yourself which one you like the best.

Thank you kind soul :D!
hq3x looks kinda like this for me:

notice the character. It looks like "oil paint" more than pixels. It looks nicer, but I prefer the retro look :P
No problem, I wish that I had better answer. I was also interested in graphic modes.
I think opengl and Direct3D are hardware ones, but I couldn't notice difference between them and surface and overlay. Maybe it was FPS difference only.

Sometimes changing the output can give someone better performance.

Yeah I'd like to know what some of these scaling engines translate to.
My recommendation is to check out Mau1wurf1977's GOG videos tutorials on Youtube. Here is the link to his video on different outputs, but he does focus on OpenGL, OpenGLnb and DDRAW.
