Dzsono: I play games, I work in front of a screen and I get tired eyes because of this. Do you guys know anything about these glasses and are they justified in asking $99 for them?
Gunnar Optiks Do you wear glasses?
If you wear glasses, you may be getting a lot of eye strain from reflections/refractions. There are many different coatings that can help remove those glares. The Gunnar Optiks has a coating on it, but it's not top-of-the-line by any means.
If you wear glasses, talk to your optometrist about glare reduction. It helps a lot.
I wear drivewear. It's almost identical to the Gunnar Optiks glasses, but it has my perscription built in and it has all of their features but by far better. Mine are in the neighborhood of $300. The yellow tint improves your eye's ability to see contrast. This page describes it well:

All in all, they do work. They improve your ability to see some contrast and they may increase your overall ability to game without eye strain if you currently wear glasses. If you don't wear glasses, then I would suggest changing the lighting in your gaming room. Use no overhead lighting and reflect the light off your walls. If you need more info, I can see if I can find more. Half of my family is in the eye business.
