Ghostbusters is available on Gamestop too. I don't get why Atari removed the game from the store. :( The game was okay, the one thing I didn't like was Bill Murray. He just sounded... not interested. And since he won't be in Ghostbusters 3, I guess that's about right.

I'm waiting for Sanctum of Slime to go on sale on Steam. Hopefully they'll have a Halloween sale or something.

Have you played the demo?

Anyway, fingers crossed they bring back Ghostbusters. It's strange why Gamersgate still has it but the others don't. I like keeping all my games in 1-2 places (GOG + steam).

Thanks for all your replies.

UPDATE: Maybe they did a deal with Gamersgate for digital exclusivity? Sometimes it happens.

... I already said Gamestop also has the game for sale. :P

And no, I haven't played the demo. I don't care, I want it 'cause it's a Ghostbusters game. >_>

Edit: And woot, the game is now 75% off. Grabbing it now.

I loved the Ghostbusters game. I understand your issues with Bill Murry's performance, but at least the story as a whole was really good. I do seriously doubt there will be a Ghostbusters 3 but here's hoping he pulls his head out of his ass and contributes. I think his biggest issue is probably the drama between him and Harold Ramus.

I really liked Sanctum of Slime, but it always bothered me that the PC version only had local multiplayer. Since most of my buddies don't live in town any more it means we can't kick ghost ass in a game. :(
I wasn't sure to get Sanctum of Slime because review scores hung around "3", which is very poor.
Dang I never realised that Ghostbusters was pulled from Steam (Blast scratch another game off my to get list), finally get some upgrades so I can run the game smoothly and it gets removed.

What happene between them?

I thought it was because he hated the fans. He'd mentioned in a few of his interviews that in NY, when one of his movies came out, people would just yell from up and down the street at him. He's notted for being odd in Hollywood. I think he's one of those people who likes to make art, but not recieve the fame for it.

Well, I'm not 100% how sure this is but from what I heard they had a falling out years ago and HATE each other. I could be mistaken I admit, but who knows there is always at least one kernal of truth even in here-say.

They had some sort of serious falling-out during the making of Groundhog Day. I've never been able to figure out what any of the details are, but apparently it's still a big sticking point for Murray. And yes, Murray is pretty strange but there's definitely more going on there than just him being weird.

I've also heard (from a much less reliable source) that he only wants to be in Ghostbusters 3 if Venkman stars as a ghost instead of a human. That sounds like a godawful idea to me, so I'm not sure if it's untrue, or if it's just an easy excuse for him to get out of doing the movie altogether.
Grabbed the game on GG today (thanks to this thread and the promo - 3€ for a game I wanted for years was an offer I couldn't refuse).

Installation files can be stored locally including the setup file but indeed, the game wants an online activation at the first startup. Securom sucks. -.-

As for the game itself - seems okay. The writing and humor are certainly kept in the style of the movies but feel more like an homage than a real sequel and a lot of the humor falls flat without real life actors. :/ Gameplay is mediocre, also don't like the silent protagonist - I think the game would have worked much better if the main character actually was a character. But it's enjoyable and not the typical GoW gameplay. Appreciate that.

Edit: One thing that pisses me off though - awful loading times (up to several minutes) even for small and ugly locations. Framedrops included.

Yeah, the writing was a big odd considering the flow was a lot more fast paced then the others. Some of the combat was irritating because the ghosts don't give any indication they've been hit. In most shooters they flench or something. The ghosts just kinda keep moving despite the fact that they've just been hit by small nuclear explosions.

It's been noted as a bad port. It was meant for the consoles and not PC.
