Nah, waiting for the PC version, and it all depends on how much money I have when it comes out. Also, I'm a bit tired of the AC gameplay right now - let's face it, three games in like two years will wear out the basic gameplay, even when they try as hard as they did to keep it fresh.

I'm actually a bit apprehensive - AC3 might be an awesome game, but will the new gameplay engine manage to feel different enough from the old one?

StingingVelvet: Being overseas for a year really showed me how stupid pre-order bonuses are. I literally can't play these games until I get home, so I am punished by developers with less content.
Ubi is pretty good with AC pre-order bonuses you tend to get them bundled in with the second SP DLC. The only annoying thing is the PS3 exclusive DLC's they add as a sop to Sony for making it a non-exclusive game.

Aningan: Personally I don't really care much about the DLC. I haven't played any of it unless it was some sort of pre-order bonus. I never felt like I missed anything with just having the base game.

Usually I'm all for waiting for GOTY editions, but for AC I never felt the need.
AC2 it adds 2 whole chapters to the game (bonfire of the vanities is a very nice chapter btw battle of forli not so much needed but its a nice explanation piece) Brotherhoods DLC set up the events in AC3... the Revelations one just explains why something happened in Brotherhood and could have been MUCH better

Nope. Was in a store today and saw Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation for PS Vita. Was tempted to get it, but I bought Super Monkey Ball instead.

Eurogamer review and new images make me want this BAD. Can't wait for January... not sure how I am going to buy both this and Dishonored by then, but life finds a way!
I am more excited for Far Cry 3 than Assassin's Creed 3.

Also if this is the last of Desmond Miles and Abstergo than lets hope its ending will not receive the rage from the internet like Mass Effect 3

F4LL0UT: Oh yeah, answering OP's question: I did NOT pre-order AC3 as Ubisoft lost me when turning the series into a fanboy exploitation machine. And frankly, as a gamer I got bored somewhere in the middle of AC2.
It took you that long? I quit part way through the first game.

I hear that the sequels made a lot of improvements, though. So the series may very well be worthy of all the hype.
Playing it right now, and yes I did (was here while scarfing some food).

Yeah, I don't really know what kept me going through AC1 but I made it somehow - I was actually curious how the story would develop. But AC2 bored me to death. The few tweaks they made just weren't enough for me and additionally I lost any interest in the plot early on (according to my buddy I beat about one third of the main plot, not counting the huge amounts of crappy side missions - getting that far felt like half an eternity to me).

2 added a ton of MMO style busywork, which people seem to consider more entertaining somehow.

I actually prefer the original.
No, and it's unlikely I'll ever play it, because AC:B has horrible stuttering problems on my computer that appears to be related to my graphics card, rendering it unenjoyable, and since AC3 is a continuation of the plot that I'll never finish, I'm probably not going to purchase it.

I thought about making an exception and purchasing a hard copy (here for $56). But I will wait for a cheaper version. AC2+ titles were fun but I don't think it's worth more than $25.
I guess I would buy it at full price if it was offered here.
Out of curiosity, what did you guys get for pre-ordering? 'Cause I walked into a Walmart this morning and got ACII & ACIII + gun and mission DLC + tin case, 60$ no pre-order.

They had different pre-order bonuses everywhere. The initial batch of games went out with the bonuses in the box, which is why even stock ones often have the bonuses.

At Gamestop you got Mayan Ruins mission and a Sawtooth Sword. I've no idea if either are that good, the game in general is fun, though:)

I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth pre-ordering anything anymore.
No idea if the DLCs I got are good yet either, and yes, the game is fun...even though I hate the pompous ass I'm playing as right now.
I think I'm getting some weapons DLC or something like that. Not sure. For 35$ I don't expect to get any mission DLC.
