Hey all,
Did you guys end up changing your passwords?.
I mean needing passwords for only a small handful of sites is one thing, but changing them for over 200+ (admittedly many i don't regularly use - maybe once a week or fortnight) is a bit high even with password managers. Generating new passwords and a) trying to remember them and b) scared the password manager itself will get corrupted (and data unretrievable) makes me wonder whether its just better to write everything on paper.
Thoughts?. What did you end up doing?
Nothing. I think this is just the media blowing things out of proportion, like they do every once in a while, to keep us worried and paranoid and under control.
I don't care if someone gets my password here. Amazon could be a problem but I haven't ordered anything there in the past few weeks.
This isn't anything new really, to me at least so it doesn't freak me out as much as the media wants it to. Still, I changed my passwords myself just to be on the safe side, you may never know what will happen next.

Nothing. If it was known/existing for 2 years why panic now? Whoever wanted to do mischief would've done so by now. Also if you are gonna change your password on said site/s you must know in advance that the site did patch out the bug, otherwise it will be pointless.

I got tinyE's Amazon password already. To the highest bidder: access to find out what crazy-ass stuff he buys.

I'm considering therapy after seeing last month's purchases. I mean, who needs THAT MUCH medical tubing and lavender-scented doilies?
I agree - don't worry about changing all your passwords. I'm just keeping an eye on my accounts in case there's any odd transactions.....but then I do that anyway.

I start the bid with 1 penny!
