I can vouch for paypal...not the leadership perse but in how good it works for me. I have used it for almost a year with no hiccups. Mostly I use it for GOG and Steam and similar DD sites.

As I said and others did they can't take any money you don't tell them to. Just link an account to it and try not to overspend yourself. :)

You wouldn't have to, since you could purchase from GOG directly through PayPal.
Alternatively, I think you could gift Tril a game on Steam (using PaySafeCard! ;)) and he'd happily hand you BG 1+2 on GOG.

Btw. just because I can not refrain myself (please bear with weak me! ;)), the virtual MasterCard from WireCardBank has no monthly/yearly fees, you do not need to prove your creditability (simply because you do not get any credit, everything's prepaid), uploading through wireless transfer (Überweisung) charges 1€, or, if you prefer that, uploading the card at a local store would cost you 4% (min 1€).
Ok, I am currently setting up a paypal account, in 3 days it should be active then I can start to get some stuff.

Good luck and welcome to GOG(I never said it before). :)

GameRager: Most prepaid cards(of which some here can be bought in Germany as others mentioned) don't even take any info from you if at all, and you're still hesitant to use them. Paranoid much?
GR has a good point, I don't think that Visa giftcards and so on take any personal information. The only real way they differ from the Paysafecard is that they have a 16 digit credit card-style number and can be used in placed that accept Visa.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't notice the second page. I see now the discussion has progressed way beyond this point so just ignore this post.
