I signed up last week and purchased Ultima 123, 456, 7 and 8.

The next day my account doesn't exists anymore.

I have tried contacting support twice, facebook once and twitter once, and only one response has been given asking for an email to pass onto support.

I am hoping this thread might get someones attention so I can get my account and finally play the Ultima games I payed for...

I just want to know what is going on, really want this issue resolved...

Have you send the guys a ticket? It might take them some time to sort things out especially on weekends and Sundays but any payment problem will be sorted out. Did you forgot your password I don't understand how an account can disappear.

Woa, weird problem!
Anyway, only GOG team will be able to help you, we're just normal users.
I'm sure they'll help you the best they can, just wait a bit.

Hi

I thought so as well, but when I went to recover my password, it says the account doesn't exists.

I thought that due to the circumstances, it is possible that I may have entered a slightly incorrect email address, as I don't recall getting a confirmation email. But I can't be certain on this I am afraid, I was kind of hoping that they would get back to me sooner, as I have an approx date/time of purchase etc, but it is the lack of response which makes this difficult to handle.
In most cases (not only talking about GOG) it's one of the following:

- misspelled username or mail address on signup
- attempt to log in with the username when only the email works as a login, or vice versa
- account or transaction raised a lot of security alerts and was classified as fraud, leading to a refund of the order and an account block (not sure if GOG works this way, other shops do)

In any case, the support department will respond to your ticket and resolve the issue. Just be patient.

You said this happened last week. When exactly did you contact support?

Other channels (Twitter, facebook) are not support channels and it will take longer to get your issue addressed if you only ask there. GOG's support department has usually good response times (less than a week in my experience). I have sent support tickets to lots of other shops, and experienced response times up to 22 days. GOG did always get back to me much sooner than that. Keep in mind, though, that they may have a backlog from the winter sale that just ended.

Ouch I think that's your problem friend. You should get a confirmation mail in order to activate your mail and confirming it. I don't even understand how you were able to purchase an item without confirmation link...

I'm sure things will turn out for you as long as you have proof of the payment (don't know what method you used), you'll be ok :)

I think that upon registering, he / she would then be logged in, so it's only upon attempting to log in again having bought all the games, that the mistake is discovered.

I don't recall there even being an email confirmation link, but it's been a long time since I signed up.
When you sing on gog you get an email but not a confirmation with a link or nothing like that

This is what you get:

Hi GastonArg, thanks for signing-up! Below is the e-mail address you've registered with on GOG.com. Use it to login and reset your password (if you happen to forget it ;)).
e-mail address (login): xxxxx

It's magic time. But I don't play no tricks.
You should have received email confirming your signup AND your game purchases, if not I would bet the email given when you joined had an error.
Be patient, support will fix it.
Would just like to update.

After nearly a month of waiting and no response, I have decided I will stop trying to get in contact, and simply run a case through my bank for a refund.

Very disappointed by the lack of response, I think I have waited long enough for that.

No response at all? That's really weird, usually the GOG.com Support is really fast to resolve any issue.

I have to agree with the Red Devil - support always gets back to me within one day - freaking amazing turn-around time in my book...GOG support rocks! I'd really contact them again, send them the last four numbers of your CC and the date you bought the games AND a valid email address for them to contact you on. Also include the user name you used...

Hope it all gets straightened out soon!
Weird indeed! Most time that i've had to wait for support to give an answer was 5 hours and that was in an week-end ( so five hours was damn fast, as i didn't even expect to be someone to answer in week-ends.
