wrangler708: I've read the posts but I don't understand what is being said to do to get the system to let you gift The Witcher.

Everytime I try it simple clears out my information.

What does it mean to add then remove.
When I remove it, the game is not in my cart for me to buy.

Very confused...
1. Add The Witcher to your cart
2. Add a game you already own to the cart (this will force a gift as you cannot buy a game you already own)
3. Remove the game from step 2
4. Pay and gift

If you already own The Witcher on GOG, step 2 and 3 are not neccesary

Ah,,,

What if you don't own any GOG games yet.
I signed up to pre-order Witcher 2.
This is my first purchase here.
Since there is no DRM, could I just download it to myself, burn it to a disc and send it to him with the code (if there even is one)?

Did anyone bothered to signal this bug to GoG support?

I'm thinking "solved" should be removed from this thread.

wooglah: I also tried to gift Witcher1 to a friend and nothing happened for 37 minutes... I just closed the page.
The quick workaround for the gift bug is to reload the page (ctrl+f5) after you select the "Gift this order" checkbox. The page will look the same, but the payment will go thru. We will fix the bug soon.

Yep, this worked for me today. Figured it out by accident.
