Currently I am in Indonesia for holiday, and it seems that I'm unable to buy anything on Steam using my Australian credit card (probably because my IP address doesn't match the country of my billing address). So, can anyone help by gifting me two Steam games currently on sale (Plants vs. Zombies for $4.99 and Osmos for $2.00)? I'll pay you back through Paypal.

Can you get on IRC catshade? If you pay me on paypal first I'd be more then happy to do it. I'm in the UK obviously so it would be in but I think the prices are the same.
Actually just checked osmos is £2 and pvz is £3.49 so a little more expensive then if you get someone from the US to do it. You have 36hours so if no one helps you out before then you can get me in IRC closer to the end.

Yeah, someone from US or from countries using US price would be preferable... :|
If you're going to be there for an extended time (ie, more than the next 5 days or so) fire off a ticket to Steam support now asking for your card to be okay for overseas sales. They'll then remove the restriction they impose.
Alternatively, you could try giving an Indonesian postal code as your post code when entering the rest of your billing info as normal. If Valve's checking is similar to other sites, that should get your card working.

Here's the Plants Vs. Zombies soundtrack to tide you over until someone gifts you the actual game

don't link to warez.
I'd be happy to gift you Osmos if you still need it.
um, that's the full game - not the soundtrack.

Just got the games, thanks to Weclock ^^
I'm being stupider than usual this morning and don't really get this sale thing.
The five-day-long one-day-only sale? So these deals are valid for 5 days? And after that there will be new deals?

The deals are valid until the timer reaches zero. The first set is running for slightly longer than the other sets will (assuming Valve managed to set the timer correctly =))

I figured they did that to give people a chance to find out about the 5 day deal. Basic Idea is they will run the sale for 5 days in total with a different set of games on sale each day that last 24 hours before the next set goes up.

They probably have, but you can never trust Valve when it comes to timers =P
