JudasIscariot: Yeah, I don't see Poland censoring the old hammer and sickle in most games. And Russia allows games that feature a gigantic Stalin on the battlefield (see Stalin vs Martians).

keeveek: That's because Stalin was a positive character in this game :D
So would Hitler vs. the Venusians make him a positive character in that hypothetical game? :P

Also, I remember a story in Nowa Fantastyka that featured Stalin saving the world from a Martian invasion.
I didn't say it's wrong to make Stalin or Hitler a positive character. But Stalin vs. Martians was a shitty game, and that's the reason why Russians should be angry :D

It should have featured a dancing Putin DLC. Then it would have won many awards :P

macuahuitlgog: I think in all games with Nazi flags and symbols, you fight Nazis so I don't understand that law...
As far as I've read on the subject, any kind of nazi imagery is banned from the media, with the only exception that it is being used for historical purposes ONLY. Most, if not all video games using nazi imagery aren't really historical -- Sure, they may be set on WW2 and the like, but they really aren't used to teach about history, Nazis there are simply used as a bus to give you a reason to shoot random people, therefore it falls under recreation, which immediately bans the game.
Wait, Total War: Shogun 2 isn't available in Japan?
Mine shows up just fine with a price of 9,97 EUR.
