Brace yourself, Ned. The 2012 DRM-Free Holiday Sale is coming!

No, there's no release today. But there's a good reason: starting tomorrow, we'll be starting our winter season / festivus / celebration of your choice sale, and we know that you'll be thrilled about it.

What's the sale going to be? Well, we would hate to spoil the surprise early. But we'll be offering your favorite games for sale at prices that should warm even the grinchiest of hearts. While you're waiting, though, we've started some holiday celebrations--you know how we love to give you guys gifts--and you can enter into our week-long holiday-themed caption contests right here, if you're so inclined, or stay tuned for more holiday silliness in our forums as well as on [url=https://www.facebook.com/gogcom]Facebook, and Google+.

Tell your friends, hide your ducks, load the caravans, and get ready, because we're starting the gifting season early with a huge game giveaway tomorrow along with our sale, so you know you don't want to miss out. In the meantime, snuggle up in something warm, drink some eggnog, and we'll see you all tomorrow.

Immoli: GOG sales are always so disappointing compared to sales from other sites.
Yeah, those $3 games really break the bank(or < $2 for daily deals).
Welp. That's my wishlist wiped out.

Thanks guys!

Only if you consider GOG's general selection of games worse than that of other sites. With most games already being priced at 6-10 bucks GOG obviously can't cause such a difference during sales as vendors who offer most new AAA blockbusters. :P

But other sites are so much more boring and disappointing during the whole year. And then on XMas they mark down heaps games 50-75% down... The sale at gog can't be the same - and if you can't get anything fantastic for yourself here, well then look on the bright side of it - you don't have to buy and then complain that you don't have time to finish the game. Steam sales are great, but you end up with heaps of games that you probably won't be able to finish during the rest of the year....

So true!
oh no!
what should I do? There's a 50% discount on Planescape Torment. Should I get it now or should I wait in case it goes 75% off?
Does the Witcher 2 offer last to January 3rd as well? Is it likely to be even cheaper as a daily offer?

Don't have a computer that can quite handle it, but at that price it's still tempting for the day that I can.

TheEnigmaticT: The business development team tells me I am a base liar, and we are releasing one *new* game and one *new-ish* game before the end of the year.

And possibly DRM-free pizza. But the last is unconfirmed.* ;)

*no, there's no DRM-free pizza.
My guess for new-ish game is Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, coinciding with a daily deal on the whole Oddboxx pack.
Hmm considering that Desura just picked up Dominions 3 the "newish" game could be something from Illwinter as they stretch their wings a little!
Hotline Miami is´nt on sale.. as it was on Steam.. why? :(

I suspect it means that the game will be on a Daily sale as opposed to on sale all the time. It is a new game so its not unsurprising that its not going for a multi-week sale period.

Hope so, it was less than 3$ on steam.. but i want it here...;)
Thanks GOG for Duke Nukem 3D. That is one of the best games ever and I'm thankful you guys gave it away. :)
I'm guessing all the daily promos will be announced at 3pm GMT? No biggie either way. Actually it helps me so that I don't stay up late each night.
That is a very nice sale. This is not going to help the state of my backlog one bit.
