it's kinda weird I'm asking this question about Steam on GoG, but I'm more comfertable here.
ok continuing the question, recently I bought Rainbow Six 3 Gold on steam (and loving it) but there are 3 flaws that I just cannot ignore: there is no true iron sight the camara just zooms in, the A.I. for my squad members are capable but just not good enough, and the fact that the game did not came with the Iron Wrath expansion pack. so any users here who also uses steam can tell me how to install mods on steam?
The only problem you may encounter is when you start the game Steam may find files that have been changed and change them back. There is an option to try and stop this and that is taking the check out of keep this game up to date in its properties.

Other than that, if you are getting mods for this game make sure you actually grab the Steam version download, they usually come with a self extracting installer.

For example Raven Shield version 2.0 came out last year and there is a standard version of the mod and also a Steam version of it :

Yeah they have somehow managed to get it out, the Ubisoft servers have been turned off now for the game but it is still going strong.

Other than that mod I think you may be hard pushed to find much else for it though.

Don't worry that one mod is all I need and I already know I have to get the iron wrath expansion from fileplanet, I don't need useless mods like the ability to jump high or my squad members look like the stormtroopers from star wars or something.

Usually mods will work with a Steam version just fine, but occasionally they depend on a "clean" .exe, which can cause issues since Steam modifies those. Case in point, in order to install the widescreen mod on my Steam version of KOTOR I had to download a cracked "no-cd" .exe. That's not very often, however.
Oh iainmet I forgot tell you please tell me that the Raven Shield 2.0 mod works for Windows 7 and which Windows 7 your going to ask sorry I forgot but if I have ask I think it's the home edition
I havnt tried it on Windows 7, however version 2.0 was released think it was November last year so should imagine Vista and 7 should be just fine in all variations.
