Hello friends, as far as I'v understand this forum, there should be a way to close a thread? But I don't check, how this is done?
This question / problem has been solved by cogadhimage
You don't do that. But you may PM a mod and they will close a thread for you.
You don't. Only mods can close threads.

EDIT - Ninja'd!

Since it's not a given that they'll lock a thread even if asked, I'd replace that "will" with "may".
Unless you have an important reason to have a thread locked, you probably shouldn't bother the mods though. Just let it sink - most inactive threads disappear for good anyway.

And then, completely out of the blue two years later, someone resurrects it to answer a question that has long since ceased being relevant, or ask a new one that just barely relates to the discussion. :-P

I did just read, that one may mark some post in a thread as "solving" post, meaning, that this was the answer, you were looking for. Personally I do not understand, why this should be done except for the reason to close the thread. But if this is not the point, I wouldn't bother any GM with such a petition.

Marking a question post as "solved" allows other users to easily find the resolution that worked for you when/if they have the same problem and it gives the solver rep points for coming up with the solution.

Ow, I see - tx for the information - and how does one do this mark (for later) - I didn't see any checkbox?

However your mouse over the top of the post you want to mark as solved, a big button will appear there.

Ask about where you can get cracks for games. That should get the thread locked in no time.

Bah. If you want your thread locked sure as sure, you need to ask a question about the GOG Downloader outside the GOG Downloader thread :p
