Just wondering if either game is worth trying with the 1c sale on.

Thanks

I bought Konung 3 a while ago, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Most 1C games are flawed but enjoyable (to me anyway), but while it was possible to look past the clunkiness in, say, A Farewell to Dragons to the interesting gameplay underneath, there is no such thing in Konung, imho.

Thank you, A farewell to dragons is one I played for a bit it was ok but nothing remotely close to being great. (still need to finish it)
Anyone have an oppinion on Konung 2?
Hi,

Well, I tried Konung 2, as it was very cheap at that time.

It's not terrible, but not very fun either. The graphics are dated and the look and feel is... bland. I mean, you're supposed to be on a quest against some arch-evil but from the athmosphere you'd tend to think that your mission is about as important as finding the "lost pair of socks under the bed"

It's quite repetitive too. I did get bored quite fast. I haven't tried the 'III"

Thank you very much for your input. I think ill pass up both, added to the fact I bought Pathologic from the sale and it doesnt download the second half of the setup.

I marked Mystral as solution but ill rate your post as a +, i wish we could have multiple solutions
I have both games and they are not good.

I was lured in Konung 2 from the look of the CD box, some awesome looking characters.
The graphics were bad even back then. The world is separated in zones, something like Neverwinter Nights, but much more empty and boring.
Very frustrating game mechanics and I found the game to be very hard, not challenging hard but annoying hard. It depends on luck what creatures one could face when travel. They vary from some worm like things to bunch of mercenaries or bandits can't remember. One can fight the first but die in a second from others.
Every freaking creature wounds/poison you and that makes the gameplay annoying specially in the beginning. It's a common mistake made by me to buy some armour piece or sword for me or my companions and 2 hours later to face some unavoidable enemies who beat the crap out of me because I didn't have certain amount of healing items.
The result is no way to beat them, no way to make money and buy the needed items, so the only option was to load previous save if there is any.

Konung 3 is even worse. I have got it for free as a present, but couldn't play it for more than 3 hours. Frustrating gameplay, boring world. Not a single improvement from Konung 2.
When I stopped playing I checked the forums to see if there are some positive posts about late game and I saw that everyone is disappointed and the game gets even crappier with advancing the story.
