graniteoctopus: Or in the case of games that can't be finished (such as the sims) played enough that you've seen most of what the game has to offer? I did an inventory of my collection today, out of the 601 games I own, i havent finished 376 of them. I'm freakin' out a little here. I dare say I should stop buying damn games till i finish this insane backlog!
_Completing_ over 50% of hundreds of games you own sounds quite an achievement to me.
Anyway, you shouldn't freak out. Take it as a journey, not as a target. I try to pay less attention now on how many games I complete, even though I now try to concentrate on only a few games at a time. As long as I enjoy playing them, everything's fine.
The only reason I'd want to complete some games because I don't like those games too much, and I want to complete it in order to get over it for good, e.g. uninstall from my PC, or free the space of it from e.g. PS2 memory card.
Of the hundreds of games I currently own, I think I have completed maybe 5%. A bit hard to say because long time ago I used to get rid of many games I had completed and didn't intend to replay, so naturally I mostly own games that I still intend to play (e.g. I haven't completed yet). Some completed games I do want to keep, you never know beforehand which ones.
Of GOG games (of which I now own maybe 95% of the whole catalogue I think), I haven't completed even the first´one.
Currently I am concentrating on playing Warcraft 2 Battle Net Edition (PC) and ICO (PS2). WC2 BNE will be completed finally probably later this week, ICO... I have no idea how long it is, but it has been advancing quite briskly lately due to its easy puzzles and quite linear gameplay. The problem with ICO (and rest of my PS2 and PSX games) is that I fire up the good old PS2 so seldom, maybe once a week or fortnight. Maybe I should try running my PS games on my PC, then I'd probably play them more often.
