I just signed in that 7 day trial to check what it is about and get some of the free goodies.

How the hell do I cancel it? I found the "turn off the auto renew" button and I turned it off.

Is it just that? Or is there something more?

That should be it, but also check your Paypal account and remove the authorisation of IGN to withdraw from your account. That's what I did when I was trying IGN prime (and wasn't it a 30 day trial?).

Thanks! My paypal account has not listed any subscriptions though. I don't really now what to make of it. I know that IGN sent me through a future payment thing over paypal when I signed up, but I can't find any reference to it inside paypal.

I did remove somehting from paypal, but that was a year ago. So maybe it changed. I wouldn't count on it. Paypal navigation can be a bitch. Go through it once more, maybe they moved it into another section.

However, this is only a safety net, as cancellation of thr "auto renewal" should be enough unless IGN tries to screw you.

It's still the same.

You go to Profile -> My Money and then click Update on My Preapproved Payments.

At least you can register... Prime still don't accepts my credit cards

I had to use my PayPal debit card, and they never charged me again after canceling.
