Hi everybody,
I have Saitek PS2700 Rumble Pad and with most games....it just doesnt work. I had some kind of software that made the computer think I am playing with keyboard (I pressed circle and it thought I pressed A, etc. etc.) but I now I no longer possess it. Anybody knows how to solve my gamepad not recognized problem or what kind of software that was?
bump? :) I would love to play Darksiders with my gamepad
Sorry this suggestion isn't a real solution to your problem, but I'd recommend getting an xbox 360 controller. I've never had issues with mine even when I've had issues with other controllers on the same games.

Also, what OS are you running? According to Amazon, it's not supported by Window's 7 :/

Windows 7 64-bit :(
http://xpadder.com/
I used a Logitech gamepad with darksiders by finding a freeware Xbox360 controller emulator.

It was a zip file and it had a ini file and a few dll... For darksiders in steam, I found the install directory and copied them over (I think it's something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\darksiders\)

It may have been x360ce, but I'm not on my game PC right now.

EDIT: That old software might be replaced by joy2key

It's a direct input controller, Windows 7 is fine with direct input (even though Microsoft is pushing developers not to include direct input support in their games).

FUUUUUUUUU, the forum is eating every other post I make and I keep forgetting to copy it to the clipboard before clicking post.

Xpadder and Joy2key let you map controller buttons to they keyboard, while the x360ce specifically works with games that only support xinput controllers (360).

I use x360ce with my dual shock 2 all the time but couldn't make it work with Darksiders when I played through it a year ago. :(

On the bright side, I can confirm that Darksiders can be completed witht mouse & keyboard on normal difficulty! :D
