I) Hi Can I buy some games with a pre-paid card? What I have to do?

II) Can I safely store the download on a USB pendrive? (I want to back-up because I format pc yearly). I will not redistribute the game in anyway. Only personal use of course.

In case I lose the USB, Can I download again?

III) Is true that you guys of GOG are a division of CDProjeckt? =)

IV) Are all downloads stand-alone installers? (For example download and run without having to do with iso images etc.)

Specifically I want to buy Might & Magic from I to 8 and also baldursgate II. I don't want to deal with windows compatibility problems (I have windows Vista)

I believe so, yes. Not sure of the details.

Yes for all of the above.

Welcome to GOG!
Ok thanks Coelocanth!

and..

CD Projeckt, Thanks for supporting such good old RPGs . I searched M&M episodes in last years. Finally I can play them again XD. (I had CD but mine friend lost it O_O)

And many many thanks for The Witcher and The Wicther 2: Enanched edition. I have really enjoyed The Wicther Saga (I have witcher I for PC and Witcher II for xbox 360), waiting for 3rd chapter XD (in the meawhile I'm also searching for the next italian book from the writer.. translation should be nearly finished XD )

Depends on the pre-paid card. If it doesn't allow international purchases then you might not be able to use it.
Ok After some search I found the following:

For Italian guys like me:

In Post offices you can buy a "postepay" card at 5 euros(the same card can be charged unlimited times up to 3.000 euros.. 30 are enough anyway), then charge up what you want + 1 euro of charge cost (30 euros will then cost 31).

Payment is done through Mastercard circuit..

Thanks.

Also, remember to buy Sacrifice. It's an amazing game, but very few people know about it.

For the most part yes, but you should always check the specific type of card you're buying is okay for online transactions.

Not a problem. The larger games can have installers of 1GB or more, so make sure you've got a large enough drive if you want them all on just the one.

Once you've bought a game on GOG, you have it forever. Even if the game has to be removed from sale for legal reasons, if you've bought it you'll always be able to download it.

CD Projekt is the parent company. They own GOG.com and CD Projekt RED, the development team that made The Witcher games.

Yes, that's why some of them can be quite large.

Each game page has that information, check the part marked 'compatible with' - Windows XP and Windows Vista are pretty much a given though. Windows 7 is the one that some games still aren't compatible with.

EDIT: Whoops, too slow at typing. Sorry! Also, it's not required but you should think about using the GOG Downloader to help make downloading the installers easier. Completely optional program, not a client you're forced to use.
