Hello people of the internet,

as you probably know, the fourth Humble Indie Bundle is out and it's awesome. So I'm going to give away a full copy (gift URL) of the new Humble Bundle in this thread (it contains the bonus games, too).

To participate, answer the following simple question: Who's the better captain, Kirk or Picard? Those who get the answer right will be entered into a random draw on Saturday.

Good luck!
While Picard MAY be the better person, Kirk was definitely the better captain.
And Picard never wrestled giant lizardmen with his shirt off!
Definitely Kirk for the reasons that Rodzaju has already stated.
Kirk. Shatner!
I already have the bundle so I'm not entering the contest, but I'm going to have to say that Kirk was a violent and simple neanderthal, killing anyone in his path who wasn't white, while Picard was civilized and diplomatic (captains need good diplomaticy) and played the flute and drank tea, earl grey, hot.

So the answer is Han Solo.
Kirk's womanizing and fight over flight attitude make him the superior officer.
As much as I like them both I have to go with Picard. Kirk was always "in yo face" and Picard was more likable in my opinion.
Picard... played by Patrick Stewart... who voiced Uriel Septim in Oblivion..

win Picard...

also he is professor X... so thats another win..
Picard is better.
There's room for both Kirk AND Picard in your heart.

Picard was the perennial diplomat. He upheld the rules and regulations of the Federation to a T unless his heart said otherwise.

Kirk was more of a fighter and explorer, but he had his diplomatic abilities and impromptu gun powder smarts.

Now Janeway, everyone can agree, was the worst.

I don't watch Star Trek, but I'm going with the popular guess here, Kirk it is.
Don't enter me into the draw, I have already got the latest HiB. I could of course give the key to someone, I think someone else here might deserve it more.

Anyway: Picard, for several reasons:
Kirk drinks strange blue stuff (Romulan Ale), Picard drinks tea. Tea drinking is a clear sign of class, something that Picard has.
Picard knows his classical literature. He is an educated man.
Picard is played by Patrick Stewart, a main who never fails to impress. He was great in Star Trek, in extras and most importantly in Lands of Lore.
While others might disagree, I say that Kirk is the better captain. If there was a fight to the death between the two Picard would lose. After all, we know what happens to the red-shirts.
Kirk anytime.
Picard obviously. Kirk was a simpleton by comparison. How Kirk dealt with situations was the equivalent of Hulk's "Me smash!" and Johnny Bravo's "Hot mama!" when compared to the genius that was Picard.
