just saying this but when Good Old Games went to just being GOG i did not see any outrage as such , but now one company offering their games to survive is bashed ? if there were no drm free versions , how do you expect them to make them at such a position where they are bankrupt ?
just to let you know that not many angered by this even notch tweeted saying he was happy with the bundle

liquidsnakehpks, This has nothing to do with what THQ does or doesn't do. But I think you are greatly overestimating the effort required to make games DRM free. But lets put that to the side. The issue is here is not what THQ has done but what Humble Bundle has done. The problem is that Humble Bundle has agreed to these terms.

liquidsnakehpks, I am talking about them agreeing to let THQ do a Steam, WIndows only bundle.

"The Humble Bundles or Humble Indie Bundles are a series of collections ("bundles") of video games, music albums or eBooks that are sold and distributed online at a price determined by the purchaser, but of at least 1 cent. In most cases, the games are multi-platform, DRM-free, and independently developed, and buyers can set the revenue split between the developers, charities and humble bundle organizers."
i dont see any mention there that the bundles must always be drm free ? or indies only

Furthermore, I feel like pointing out that the Humble Bundle have folk have been trying new things all year, with a music and e-book bundle. Just because this is different and may happen again doesn't spell the end of DRM-free, cross-platform debuts on the site. The aforementioned bundles and the Indie Bundles will remain exactly the same so what exactly is the big deal?
Too many of the posters on this topic grasp desperately at what they believe the ideas of "ideals" and "principles" are of the guy at Humble Bundle, let alone any such "rules" at all it would seem. It must have been a shitstorm here when GOG re-branded itself from Good Old Games yet - shockingly - they continue to release older titles just as the guys at Humble Bundle will continue to release big Indie debuts as they've been doing.

Doesn't matter how "highly esteemed" a studio is, I sincerely doubt humblebundle would beg anyone. Hell, double-fine didn't even get to be a humble main event at humblebundle.com, you had to go to humblebundle.com/double-fine to find them. Thereby proving you wrong.

Fifty-Thousand Shades Of Grey was at least ten hundred times better.

MMO come to thing. And Diablo 3. But every game that has a cracked version around (and Steam is far more easy to crack than most DRMs of the last ten years).
And the very fact that Steam so far, hasn't removed a single game from their servers, makes them better at gaming preservation than most libraries do with books.
I still understand it's a bummer when a 100% DRM free website starts selling DRM'd games.

If you don't like it, vote with your wallet. Money always does the talking.
None of games are really interesting (I already have Metro), so I pass and wait for something on a par with the one selling Psychonauts.
