...and I'm dang proud of it! ;-)

Almost 99% of the games I play are RPG's and I'm that kind of person who thrills at finding that sword which has a droprate of 0.00000001% so my question is, are there more Loot Whores like me (Sounds like a talking group... lol) and what is, in your opinion, the best Loot RPG out there?

Hello, my name is KneeTheCap, and I'm a loot whore..

Currently I'm totally enjoying Titan Quest, and before that, went DS2 through three times..

I've been having a lot of fun with Torchlight, which I picked up from Steam during the recent Summer madness. Tons of rootin' tootin' lootin' there.
best loot rpg is propably diablo 2
And this is why I've never managed to finish Icewind dale.

I'll get so far through & realise I missed something.
So I'll start over.
RInse & repeat!

That's a sign of Loot Whore'ism right there. I've got the same, when I read/hear somewhere that I missed someting or should have talked to that person to get this sword in the first act I reload an old save and go from there.

I've got Diablo 2, Torchlight and Titan Quest and yes, they rock all three! (If only I could get Diablo 2 with the Hi-Res patch to work 100% on Windows 7... Sigh...)

Edit: World of Warcraft is doing one hell of a job too to feed my Loot Whore'ism.

So . . . you will be playing Divine Divinity and Sacred Gold from GOG's catalog if your need for loot is constant . . . =)

This, definitely. Especially Sacred Gold, because in Divine Divinity the best pieces of loot are in fixed places, while in Sacred you always have a small chance of getting some set piece or unique item (and you'll want to gather as many complete sets for your character as possible).

HoZ = Herald of Zakarum

It's a unique paladin shield that gives +2 to paladin skill levels, and some other awesome stuff. Never let go of it as a paladin until the runeword stuff :)

Me too. Its what is driving me away from LOTRO (at least from several aspects of it, the story is still quite good). The idea is to make everything accessible in that game even to the people that don't have time to play it. I like finding things hidden and working towards things.

I played D2 locally (lan) with a friend and we had characters named after each green set. Only missing just a few pieces from every green item in the game ;)

In Morrowind, I use the House under the hill mod and one of the mannequin mods and have every piece of armor in the game, plus some mods on display. Many of the weapons too.

I did the same thing but use small home outside of Balmora mod. I never got all the armour sets. it still bug me to this day
I love me a bit of loot and plenty of variety but I need an interesting reason to actually use the stuff I kleptomaniacally scavenge, thats why I didn't get dungeion seige 3, loads of loot but nothing else at all worth mentioning, especially good gameplay.

I suppose I'd ultimately describe myself as loot promiscuous
