Well it would company like Blizzard like 100 bucks to add streaming SP-only character from hard drive as offline only mode. There's no excuse whatsoever for them to not include it. I won't be buying it for an entirely different reason thou: Their games kinda suck lately :D

hedwards: People do have differing tastes, but it doesn't bode well when the developer goes on record about choosing to make an esport game at the expense of making a fun game.

kavazovangel: Wonderful, developers should do that more often! :p
I probably should have been more clear about that. Esports are all well and good, but they should have spent a lot more time on the singleplayer, for a franchise that hadn't had a new game in that many years it was a serious let down to get a rehashing of the previous installment with less excitement.

There's a fair number of folks out there that don't want to play multiplayer with random people online and Blizzard lost most of those sales by not providing a good singleplayer campaign and no LAN play at all.

But, that's just me, I'm mostly just glad that I didn't waste any money on it. Blizzard has fallen so far from where they were in the mid 90s, it's embarrassing, really.
It's just not GOG forums without a circlejerk on the front page.
As an individual with a piss poor 1Mb wireless internet connection (with absolutely no other options. I almost regret living outside of town) an always on internet connection is a huge buzz kill for me.

I bought H.A.W.X 2 during the steam sales, unknowing it had an always on requirement, for PC and I've logged 0 minutes in the game because it won't load past the menu screen. Even with my internet connected.

I don't have any intention of pirating the game (since I wait to purchase most games anyway) but I wont buy it either if the always on requirement isn't dropped.

Lorfean: 1. Separate SP (stored locally) and MP (stored on Blizz's servers) characters. In other words, you wouldn't be able to use your SP character if you suddenly decided you wanted to play with your friend. Not good. Incredibly inconvenient. People would never accept this.
Now that's just silly, why ?

If Blizzard was really that afraid that peoples are too retarded to understand that they can only use their offline character "offline" then they could have added a disclaimer while starting the game saying that if you decide to use a offline profile you won't be able to use it online later... you know kind of like of what they ALREADY did for Starcraft 2.
Do online-only mode for SP and "one character fits all" essentially outlaw any mods, even for private use?

The only mode you might be able to use are the "WOW-like" mods, for any game/gameplay altering mods you can forget about it.
I sure as hell won't get it.
Well, I'm not going to buy it either, but mostly because I don't need to - Torchlight 2 is due for a release date any day now, and I already have Kingdoms of Amalur on preorder at GameStop :D

Many Torchlight fans here. I don't get it. The game was so casual, even on hard setting, I quit playing this after several hours.

And nothing indicates that Torchlight 2 will be any less casual...

How so? I thought SC2 was basically just SC1 with better graphics

Other than the art design I don't get how it is casual. It even had a hardcore mode.
I couldn't die even if I tried hard.

Have you ever played Diablo 2 on Hell to compare?
