It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

(I'm currently on an iPad if anyone is confused)

Hi, I've used my computer before to go to GOG and download games and the normal stuff. I recently tried to go on to buy Alpha Centuri, but I can't get the site to load at all. Not on chrome, Firefox, or even internet explorer. I can go to every other website except GOG.

When I try to go directly to the Alpha Centuri page, I can see the grey splash screen with the spaceship, and that's it. No text, links, buttons, anything.

I tried restarting my computer, and I was able to get to the site, but then after a few seconds it went grey again.

Anyone know what's up?

Do you happen to use Mcafee Siteadvisor?

It caused a freeze up in the web browser from time to time for no real reason sometimes. It kind of sounds like your getting something like that. so maybe check add-on that might be interfering like SiteAdvisor. I just leave it running and let it lock up every now and then.
Did you try clearing your browser cache? Might or might not help...

~also this thread was right under the "Do you believe in ghosts" thread and it gave me a chuckle... I mean if you can't get to GOG on your computer maybe your post is a ghost ;-p~
I tried clearing the browser cache.

I actually think I saw mcaffee running but I can't check ATM, not on computer.
Ok, it's still not working, after clearing the cache and checking to see if mcaffee was running for some reason :/

Any help?
You can try resetting Firefox. This will disable all Addons, but passwords and bookmarks will be safe, so it just takes a few mins to restore your Addons again.
Try clicking on Help and there "Troubleshooting information" (or similar, dont have english version here) ... on the right side you can reset Firefox.

There are a few networky things you could try that might throw up some information.

open up a command prompt (start -> then type cmd)

nslookup www.gog.com
ping www.gog.com
tracert www.gog.com

It's probably not best to post the results of that on a public site, but if there's anything that fails to connect you could let us know. This isn't particularly "support level" diagnostic stuff, I'm just throwing it out there in case we find something.

EDIT: More likely though is that you've got a problem with the cert that was re-issued.
