keboard???

KEYBOARD

and now everything is so TINY. WTF??? HELP!!!

There's no way it changed the Font Size settings, because I've changed that before, and I always had to log off and log back on to take effect.

This, my keyboard was sitting my lap, these forum titles were nice and big for old eyes to see, I leaned forward to take a drink of my scot... ahm, my glass of water (well, there is water in there, in one form or another :)) and I dropped the keyboard. Then I picked up (the keyboard) and now all the letters are TINY.

I got off the internet, and got back on, but still there.

Oh, I didn't try restarting my computer. Gonna try that now.

EDIT:

Well restarting didn't help. And it's not just GOG, it's EVERYWHERE.

Oh noes !! ! Everything is so tiny!!! How the hell could dropping a keyboard do that????

I'm either going to have to get a much, much, much bigger monitor, or I'm going to have to somehow have my younger set of eyes implanted back in. Somehow I think the odds of either happening are about the same.

Press the Ctrl key and the big fat "+" button on your number pad (not the one at the top of the keyboard next to the backspace).

Oh THANK YOU.

Wow, that was like...... magic.

Owned and operated computers for years, and never knew that.

That should give a hint as to my stoopid.

THANKS AGAIN.

Haha...... yeah sure, no problem :D

(Hint: you can do Ctrtl button and the "-" to make it smaller!)
also control + scroll wheel works fine ;)

(on chrome at least)

I just tried in IE, it works there too.

The thing that's been running through my brain since this happened (besides what a moron I am for having operated computers for 30 years and not knowing this) was what the hell are the odds of a keyboard falling and having it land just right so the control and plus buttons got mashed. I mean I assume it would have to have been ONLY those two, since control plus other keys likely means other things right???

The odds must be out of this world.

Yeah, some weird stuff happens when they drop, it happened to me too... There was this one time the computer shut down, i was like "what the hell?!"

I guess it must have something to do with the dotted plastic foiling and the chip. Probably some weird calculation happens as a result from the crash and it goes limbo. Even now when i press Enter a slash (\) comes right after i press Enter so it must now be a "hardcoded" bug that resulted from a continuous dropping "accidents" :) (or the button overlaps somewhere...)

Also, CTRL + 0 will reset the font size to its default setting.

Gunsang: Classic. Just, classic.
Almost classic.

Had I actually purchased a bigger monitor, then it would have become Classic. :)
Haha dude I'm so sorry for laughing XD I can just imagine the frustration, as something vaguely similar has happened to me in the past, i.e. weird keyboard shortcuts that you don't know about. A couple of times now I managed to somehow activate the shortcut on my laptop to rotate the screen 90 degrees (now that is off the hook mindbogglingly slapintheface unexpected the first time that that happens) and restarting also didn't fix it. I ended up tracking down and disabling the damn shortcut, as seriously, what the hell could it possibly be used for???
The first three lines made my day, and I only just woke up.

Good you got things sorted out, though.
WOW I have been using computers since I was a toddler at a time when pc's weren't even all that mainstream to begin with (djeez i feel old saying that) and I didn't know that either... Nice tip!

Hahaha, nice. Your misfortune, and good attitude towards it, certainly made my night.

If you feel like holding your laptop sideways? No, my best guess is it's related to the tablet/laptops or the laptops with movable screens. I would guess they just didn't bother taking it out even if it was irrelevant to you.
