Ok, so, I dont use Steam enough to whinge about it anymore, I'll have a go at Gamersgate.

I bought Dark Messiah oMM with Blue Coins yesterday, pressed the d/l button and selected "Run", of course when it got to the end, it had some error and wouldn't install, a total waste of 7 gigs d/l, so I ran it again and while waiting for it to d/l I saw this "unused code" clicky.

So, I clicked it, apparently it was a feckin Steam code on Gamersgate, It could only be redeemed on Steam, i was really....STEAMING...for want of a better word, had to d/l 15 gigs to get a 7 gig game....which I have in the bloody attic, but I'm too shagging lazy to get it down :(

Why GG do you have Steam codes on your site, Yet allow people to download a non-installable version of the game from your site? If I wanted to use Steam I woulda gone there >.<

You can't resell Steam codes. Gamestop can't exploit this ;-)

Yeah, I've never doubted the competence of Gamersgate handling of the English language as much as I did after reading how they kept insisting how Lifetime and Permanent meant anything but permanent.

I lucked out with this. I considered signing up for a month of IGN about two days before they silently killed it, but put it off thinking I'd get it later.

Meh, it was $7 more to put towards GOG's Christmas sale in the end.

If they hadn't you would have unfortunately been saddled with a subscription to IGN. You really dodged a bullet there.
