Licurg: Well, I guess it depends. How old were they exactly? And what breed were they? Because if they're too young, or of a "dumber" race, they probably won't find their way back.

Big_Boss: They are bout one year old, the male is maybe 15 months, the female 13.
They aren't "race" dog, they are half-breed.
Well, if they're both over a year, odds are they can take care of themselves. You should keep looking, maybe put up some posters and stuff.
We erm.. "lost" two female dogs at a beach about 5 minutes' distance by car. It was their first trip there, and they were taken by car. The smart one found her way home after a couple weeks and stayed with us till she died of old age.

Also, our male dogs sometimes stay out for days at a time chasing after females in heat. Maybe your dogs found a hottie somewhere?
Sorry to hear that, ive never had a dog escape (i have an inner and outer gate) but id hate to have the feeling of the just missing
Sad news. I bet they come back, dogs generally don't stay away from love and food.
Did they have tags?

if your dogs are smart, then they should at least be able to keep themselves safe until you find them.

anyway, good luck.
Having tags is a good point. I dunno about in Italy but in the UK microchipping the animal is pretty standard practice on Dogs, less so on cats.
I was expecting another thread about hot dogs. I was also about to ask if OP got hungry, but now I feel bad. :(

Big_Boss: My brother accidentaly this night has left the gate opened (it's an electric gate and if you pass in front of it it reopen itself), and my two dogs ran way.
I spent the whole morning, from 6 a-m until now, searching for them, I already denunced the fact to authority, is there any hope they can find the road home alone?
They are intelligent and smart, and I really love them, I took them from a doghouse on January 23, 2012 and they are two puppies :(
I'm really sad
Keep checking the local animal shelter (wherever your local animal control would take them, or a good samaritan). Post an ad on your local classified section of a newspaper, post an ad on any online version of such (maybe a craigslist variant if you have one).

Dogs get hungry, they will seek a human's comfort at some point, that human merely needs to know to contact you.

I don't want to be an ass, but they do have dog tags on their collar, right? Chipping dogs is also cheap these days and any vet will read it and locate you. If you love your dogs, you might not want to skimp on such cheap measures. If you have already done these things, they will turn up. I suspect your area is not filled with sociopaths.

The only other worry is theft, if they're "pound puppies" you have nothing to worry about on this front. If you have some special breed, then you need to be watching for people selling or "re-homing" dogs of that breed.

Very sad to hear that. I do hope they turn up well and safe soon. Until then, I would go with what other suggested, posters, dogshelter, etc. Also, leave the gate open, so they can get back in and make sure to check the front door periodically (everytime we lost one of our dogs, they end up sitting in front of the frontdoor sometime later). Another thing you could try is ask some of your neighbors (not just the immediate ones), as well as anyone you see around walking their dog, maybe someone has seen them somewhere around.
That's horrible, I really hope you get them back soon! Best of luck!
My cousin's dog got lost in the woods last month and it took her 6 days to find her way back home, but she did.
Hope you find them soon , I have 3 beautiful Dogs and I know I would be devastated if that happened , keep your chin up mate ..
I really hope you find your dogs, mate. I think the world of mine so I know how you must feel.

As others have said, don't give up hope. Dogs are often found weeks or months after going missing.

Yes,they have the microchip and tags with our telephone number.
I went to doghouse this morning to ask if they found the dogs, but not :(
I spent all the yesterday evening and this morning searching for them,I hope they return soon.
And yes, maybe my male dogs went in love and the female just follow him, because where I live there are a LOT of dogs (I'm in a rural area)
By the way, here's a photo when they were younger.
