ok so ive been looking for this game for years and now i finally get it and it wont download i finished the download lst night and an error message came up sying unspecified error can not download? i tried it once more but its not letting me download anyones help would be apprecited im running a brand new laptop with windows 7 if that helps i plan on getting a few more games if i can figure out how to download and play them..

What's your browser, are you use using an add-on or a special program to download? I've had a couple of hiccups where games would download off one browser and not the other (Firefox has an add-on for downloading for example, annoying to use. IE goes straight to desktop.)

It would help to know what game you were downloading. Also, were you using the GOG Downloader or your browser?

1) what is the EXACT error message
2) what program are you using to download
3) are you using the built-in download program of GOG or you are using save from browser?
4) Where did you try to save? Did you try to save the file to a write-protected directory in your computer?
5) Hows the weather in canada? eh?

ok im using internet explorer,im pretty sure its the gog dowloder its a little yellow rectangle box on bottom of screen that has has progress and 3 options pause cancel and view downloads the game is homm3 complete and im not sure what u mean by save ws i supposed to save before i started downloading ? as u can tell im sort of computer illiterate oh and the weater is not too bad but not good for me there is like no snow so i cant skidoo haha

Hi there! Here's the simplest way to go about it.

1. Open your web browser.

2. Go to the My Account page.

3. When you click on a game cover, a little speech-bubble-like window pops up pointing at the game. Click the little question mark next to "add to GOG.com Downloader".

4. A new window should appear. The first option is "If you don't have the Downloader yet..." Download the file it links to, and unzip it somewhere you can find it. (You can right click the file and choose "Extract Here" or "Unzip Here," in case you didn't know).

5. Run the program you just unzipped.

6. Back on the GOG account window you opened up (the small one that popped up that gave you a link to the downloader), click on the green button that says "Add game to Downloader".

7. It should begin downloading by itself, and the downloader will protect the game files from corrupting.
