JCD-Bionicman: The fighting system, the horrible voice acting, volume of content but no actual depth (on the contrary there is no volume even, very linear and unopen)... this is exactly why I sold my copy of Skyrim and now I'm experiencing it all over again.
Perhaps the second one is better, as I own it and was considering skipping-to.
IDK, maybe I'm just bringing out the worst of the game because I'm playing it on hard. Maybe there's a console command that can fix that? I'm in Vizima and I'm looking for those relic things. I just have no interest in continuing, the story has failed to grasp me and the combat doesn't seem to have any depth.

So do you advise me to look at a recap video and just move on to the sequel, continue on because the story/gameplay will pick up, what?
See now I had that issue with The Witcher 2 instead of the the original. I thought the story in the original was brilliant, the combat was fun, and the early fights with the Barghests and thugs was fantastic. The Witcher 2 I found boring, annoying and the combat awful.

hunvagy: .... Since you're German, it's kinda hard to believe you haven't played the two Drakensang games :) You should definitely give them a try, both Drakensang and Drakensang: Am Fluss der Zeit. It uses 3rd Edition DSA rulest I think....

Trilarion: I played the first part. I liked that you can open a console and see what the dice are doing and which part of the body is hit. Reminded me on Baldurs Gate. But still it doesn't mean that fights are exciting or diverse or require skills. I remember not much from Drakensang actually so I cannot comment more.
Later on they do. In River of Time there was a boss fight that needed extreme tactics and strategic usage of your party. It took me at least an hour to find a tactic where I wasn't humiliated. And most of the fights after the beginning require quite an amount of party management.

And don't forget all the tits the game has to offer.
I got this game thinking i could run it, turns out i could but it ran like poop. I do remember the fighting was kind of awkward.
