I had some balsamic vinaigre, black pepper, strawberry ice cream a couple of weeks ago... it was delicious, something I was not exactly expecting beyond the positive recommendations of some folks.

Braussie: There's a sandwich that Elvis Presley ate that is very common in some parts of the US, but I had never had one til recently.

"Fluffer Nutter" is what it's called

It's basically a peanut butter sandwich, with mashed banana and "marshmallow fluff" or "Marshmallow creme" in it. Marshmallow fluff has a flavor somewhat similar to marshmallows, but at the same time is very different.

Then you grill it (like a grilled cheese sandwhich).

It has a ton of calories, and was a little overly greasy/rich for my taste. But, some people swear by them. It was definitely interesting and worth a try for anyone who's never had one!
Sounds delicious.
Not from myself, but: My little brother would for 1-2 years refuse to eat any meat without ketchup. So whenever we had any form of meat, he poured ketchup over it. Liver balls with brown sauce? Pour ketchup into it. Meatballs in the soup? Pour ketchup into it. Bacon in the salad? Pour ketchup into it. And so on. ;)

(My parents went along with this because he was a very bad eater, and they were generally happy if he ate at all. After a couple of years, they found out that they could trick him into eating by making him believe that the food was scarce. So when the meal was served, my mother and my father would talk about how small today's meal was, and then my brother would make sure that he got his share, and eat it. It was funny, but also a bit strange. ;) )

Something that always weirds people out when I say I have it is a peanut butter and butter sandwich. It's something I'll make on rare occasion, but it's pretty good and even better when it's toasted and everything gets melted together.
I regularly run out of useful ingredients in my household, and I'm a notoriously bad cook, so I have ingested some strange things in my time.

I think the strangest sandwich I made recently was sour rye bread with vegan margarine, herbal salt, vanilla soy yoghurt, raw zucchini, black olives, raw onion and garlic. It was literally all I had left in the fridge. It was neither unpleasant nor delicious tastewise; the vanilla soy yoghurt didn't blend too well with the raw onion/garlic or the saltier flavours. I ate it anyway, and unlike with some of my creations, I didn't feel sick afterwards, so I consider it a success ^^.

I also have a tendency to put soy sauce in absolutely everything; salads, soups, pastas, mashed potatoes, sandwiches... everything.

One day a few years ago, I noticed my cupboard were nearly empty, and I was absolutely starving. I was about to set off to the supermarket, when I thought "Oh crap, it's christmas isn't it - they're shut".

With little to choose from, on that momentus day, I invented Peanut Butter and Rice! Try to imagine what that tastes like. You're right. It tastes like some badly flavoured rice. I hope this helps someone to avoid this mistake in future.

On a similar mistake avoiding note, if you eat a large amount of orange rind, wait a little while before cleaning your teeth!

The more you know... :)

I've noticed the peanut butter and butter was pretty common with my grandparents generation. Heck, they put butter on or in just about everything they made.

My highschool had those in the lunch "salad bar" section. Never toasted though.
