Damn, we're growing so fast that soon we'll have to move to a bigger office or even build ourselves a skyscraper! But let's get to the point. We're looking for talented people who want to work in the gaming industry for GOG.com's glorious future. If you're a webdesigner or webdeveloper, have love for good old games (if not, then what are you doing here?) and would be able to live and work in Warsaw (Poland), then maybe it's you who'll be working on new assets for all those great games that are coming to GOG.com or who'll be developing those cool new features we have planned. Check [url=http://www.gog.com/en/page/work]the detailed job offers here, and if you feel you're the one we're looking for send us your resume. We're counting on you talented GOGers!

TheFrenchMonk: Yup - English is commonly used every day at the office. We've got American, French and Russian staff at GOG, so be assured we use English every day to communicate. We tried sign language for some time, but it is damn too hard to master :)

avatar
hansschmucker: Is speaking Polish a requirement? Or is English practically the second office language anyway?

I know it seems strange to ask the question in the forums, but hey: I like things simple and asking here seems much more straight-forward than preparing something when there's no chance anyway.

TheFrenchMonk:
Great, I'll see what I can put together for a resume that's relevant to what you do: Right now I'm reimplementing the download tool so that I can make it install the games without user interaction: you might see a few strange downloads in the server logs: That's me fighting with XULRunner's http classes ;)

Kurina: Happy enough with the title! :)

And since that is the case, a Duke Nukem Manhatten Project code for whomever. Another to follow later this evening when I get a chance.

*code*

GameRager: Kurina thank you so much *shakes cheek and kisses hand*
Well, that couldn't have gone worse. Tell me, do you ever buy games, or gift games, or are you content to just accept seemingly every gift opportunity that comes your way, as I know you've gotten no less than four gifts. ¬_¬

(Manhattan Project isn't even that good of a game, but that's my own opinion...)

I have bought a bit over 30 games actually outright, been gifted about 8 or so in contests, and had others buy me around 10-12 which I paid back with interest.

If they're up for grabs IMO anyone is allowed to grab them.

Or are you just irked that it was an unliked gogger that got them?

Perhaps, but it seems selfish. I'm glad you've paid everybody else who isn't me back with interest (I gifted you two games with nothing in return, so in other words, I think you're lying), but it probably wouldn't hurt to do your own share of gifting as well.

In case you have forgotten so soon, I was one of the few people who would bother with you when you joined (I gifted you Temple of Elemental Evil and Ishar, and they weren't even on sale), as we both had negative rep and a disdain for the community. The difference is that my dislike of the community changed when they seemed to stop hating me quite as intensely, while you provoked my ire to the point where I don't much like tolerating you anymore.

At the risk of sounding like a jerk (...and that risk is rather high, seeing as I am a jerk), here's a Manhattan Project gift that hopefully won't go to one of the many alts you boast of so much.

It just seems you're mad over nothing.......or since it's ME you are just looking for things to nitpick about me. And by paying back I mean those I entered into an agreement with to pay back, not those who just gifted me games for the sake of gifting them. Several here have done it....StarMaker for one.

I never used alts to pickup codes or enter contests, except spellforce 2 when my main was banned using an alt....just for sake of full disclosure.

If you just want to berate and accuse me because I do other things you don't like & because of how I act here under the guise of me "taking too many codes" then please take it to PM or just stop.

How did a job posting turn into a gifting thread?

A user put a code up for grabs for a staffer complimenting them. :\

Do any breakdancing? If so that'd be so cool.

Playing the better man will do nothing for you. Others here know well enough your games.

I'm telling the truth, so stop slandering me already or I will report it to staff.

Thing is, there's really no way for me to prove i'm right so it's pointless to ask me what I do behind the scenes......this means you most likely only asked me so that you could then tear apart my replies and sling accusations....the same thing goes also for you to prove you're right so stop acting like you can prove your accusations are more than that.

I just thought of something......if another gogger was doing this....redeeming multiple codes before others yet they had a good reputation(not points but standing) here, would you also be bringing this up to them? I'm guessing you probably wouldn't be.

Congratulations for winning fair and square, GR. P.S. This might be one of those times to quit while you are ahead(ish.) Go play the game.
